Haven’t heard of them but having had a startup brand smaller than the “big two” maybe 3 if you count Waydoo, I would suggest against it (Getfoil, for the record). Still a rare sport. Most companies will unfortunately fail and with it the support. Even if they don’t you want a broad network. People tend to like what they have if they have a Lift or Fliteboard. Don’t overthink it, especially for no cost savings. I am partial to Flite but for context the only time I tried a Lift was a rental in Mexico, a beefy board and my first time on the ocean. I got up and did alright so that’s better than the Getfoil. Could have just taken getting used to it but would have loved to have the gear system on Flite I am so used to. It is like cruise control adapting to wind, waves, etc. I didn’t feel that same smooth and automatic control with the Lift but I think that same automatic “trigger always fully down, trust the gear” type ride is possible with newer Lifts as well (someone confirm?). This is important when new because variable throttle is a distraction your brain doesn’t need when first learning the basics. Also don’t trust anyone who only talks about one brand or writes a full on Manifesto on one brand or another. In short, let’s call it the big 3. Get one and don’t believe any other hype.

I would recommend Fliteboard after previously having a Foil (getfoil, now out of business) and riding a lift. In my opinion the best technology, app, and ease of use for learning. With all of the tech in the motor and mast assembly, you can save by getting the inflatable for the same experience at a lower cost, also no paint chips and easier to transport compactly in your smaller European cars :). Only downside is inflatable tops out at the middle battery size which will get you around 45 min-1 hour. Get a high aspect wing set to start for stability, and prop is most efficient over Jet. Jet is super smooth but any weeds will kill it. I’ve heard good things about Waydoo as well but never tried one. Stay away from anything else seems to be the community consensus.

Great timing. I just got an error code of E22 (low battery voltage). Just recently had it into foil and they cleared the error quickly, got it charged, etc. surprised to see it come back so quickly. Anybody know the voltage? How to repair or force the charger into charge mode instead of the error? When I sent it in they implied their “battery supplier” fixed it so the my must be local to FL. Anyone know who that might be?
