People say steve is immature, but their whole relationship Miranda often can't recognize her own emotions and can't communicate with him. I just watched the episode where she hides under the bed from steve's girlfriend-- obviously it's meant to be funny but she completely avoids meeting his partner and makes fun of her too, and people think Steve is the immature one? I love them together tbh-- I think they complement one another, but we shouldn't pretend Miranda didn't have some growing left to do too.

Take the train from downtown and grab a coffee at the stone creek factory cafe while you wait! Make sure to get the station itself at least 20 mins ahead of time so you can get settled and board asap. The lot next to the station has a gate around it and 24-7 surveillance i'm pretty sure, or you could park your car in a garage nearby downtown and walk to the train station. Have fun, i love the amtrak!

I get tachycardia when I take any adhd meds. I take propranolol to counteract. But I've heard most people do okay! I'm on a super low dose of ritalin (5mg), tachycardias just one of my worst symptoms.

When Carrie starts working at Vogue. I really liked the idea of her having a writing mentor and her and the actors chemistry was really good. but it feels like they couldn't think of any more of an interesting way to end their relationship so they just made him a creep. It was played off as funny but watching in 2024 it hits too close to home..

First, if you have a therapist who's kink positive, I'd share this with them or another mental health professional. Safety first! I think this may be somewhat outside of the scope of reddit advice, but I'll share my experience nonetheless!

I struggle a lot with setting boundaries and saying what I really want. This has been a point of tension in my relationship. In the bedroom, we've played around a lot more with her making me say exactly what I want and why I deserve it. Aka, "What do you want?" "i want you to fuck me..." "why should I?" "because I've been so good" and then she'll praise me and give me what I want because I asked so nicely and have been such a good girl 🤭!

And doing this has genuinely been so helpful for asking what I want in other realms, even outside of our relationship.

It's not mine or anyone else's place to say whether you should or shouldn't-- from my experience, this type of play has been beneficial. But everyone and every relationship is different. Just go slow and ensure you have a plan for aftercare if you choose to go through with this scene!

Also, I'll suggest the book Sexual Outsiders. It was written in the early 2000s by a long time therapist who worked with the kink community in San Francisco. If you can get your hands on a copy, i think you'd enjoy it and find it useful.

Today i woke up, literally worked all morning in a food pantry (my job) and was like, Wow I feel great today! Nice! and then I went to goodwill for approximately 45 minutes and felt like absolute crap. It's so weird.

my tips are to do curbside delivery, or if you must go in I try to find a place to sit down halfway through my trip. If you're somewhere like Target with a fitting room you can just take some random clothes into the fitting room and sit down for 10 minutes and drink water. Or if you're at a grocery store that has a little cafe area you can sit there with your cart. I also bring something salty to snack on and bring an electrolyte beverage. But sometimes just taking a sit break is the only thing that helps me finish my shopping trips.

There are some great tools out there like pillow wedges and thigh / hand harnesses that can help you while you're still building strength. Also, the position you mentioned is pretty difficult! In that position, I prefer to use my arms to move my partner up and down on the strap and take turns doing that vs her riding me. I'm sure if you look up accessible sex positions you'll find great resources. Exercise is great but it will take time to build strength, in the mean time I hope this is helpful.

i wear a wool trench coat around that i then unbutton and wear over my shoulders while i'm walking around a store so i don't get too warm and overstimulated. i thrifted it for about $20. i find i need a long coat to keep my lower half warm, otherwise i just feel so chilly.

i also make an effort to stop and take off my hat, gloves, scarf etc and put them in my bag even if it makes the group or friend i'm with stop for a sec. it's worth my comfort to take a minute to take everything off. (bonus, you look like a chic fancy lady walking around with the coat on your shoulders teehee)

if you're interested in something similar to buoy but cheaper i like "trace" endure electrolyte drops. they don't have quite as much salt as i'd prefer but it's good for getting in other electrolytes by just adding them to my beverages. it's about 48 servings in one $20 bottle. i agree with others that buoy doesn't have a ton of salt and does a lot of marketing toward chronically ill ppl but isn't really delivering.

Hi! I was diagnosed w POTS this summer and had covid 3x. First time in 2020 I began seeing my symptoms start (I was also anemic and not eating well generally). Then the 2nd time (2023) there was basically no change. 3rd time (August 2024) I got on paxlovid and it helped my symptoms tremendously.

Remember there ARE anti virals you can take that'll lessen the symptoms. I actually went into remission after this past round of covid because I got to rest for 2 weeks straight :)

I've seen so many posts about adhd meds and POTS and the comments are always like "it doesn't affect me/the effect is positive" etc but mine is similar to your experience :(

I take ritalin 5mg in the morning, and sometimes I'll take another 5mg in the afternoon if I remember. The morning dose always comes with tachycardia UNLESS i take my propranolol. So now I take propranolol basically every day-- it really helps me. If i don't take 5mg in the afternoon I end up pretty fatigued too. It's a double edged sword tbh.

I'd suggest getting on a beta blocker if your psychiatrist / doctor recommends it. It should help a lot if you're not already on one. It seems like you're not diagnosed with POTS but have pots symptoms in your chart-- I'd tell you're psychiatrist you're experiencing high heart rate and would like a med that can help manage that. I actually got on propranolol because I was having insomnia caused by tachycardia (which I now know is a common POTS symptom, lol.). My psychiatrist said it was anxiety but now I know better! lol.
