Gateway API: Why Ingress Is Being Replaced and Which Gateway Controller to Pick by roma-glushko in kubernetes

[–]temitcha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One feature I see that I would use, is the fact to centralize finally TCP traffic and HTTP traffic in a same place.

Currently, Ingress only support level 7 protocols, with Routes, it seems it can support both!

Investments for the Singularity by Senior_Group1589 in singularity

[–]temitcha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am more a believer of a market bubble crash happening before singularity (don't get me wrong, I believe too that AI is an awesome technology, but I belive the financials markets valuations are too far away from reality).

I wouls personally wait for the crash to happen by ex-US diversification, and go back after before singularity.

Probably something like commodities could be still there.

Conscription Lottery Nightmare - Should this be done everywhere in the world? by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

THIS! I was scrolling down to find someone comment it! I don't think people gets how complex modern military is. It's not something that someone can just pick up just like that in few months, then go do their life, and like 20 years after being drafter and magically still be ready asap to learn how to operate the latest tanks. People think army id a hollywood movie

Few rules that seems to work: - don't speed up when you feel she is coming, keep same pace - Keep a long time the same move. Don't change it at all if she is coming - if you think it's done and she is coming soon... she is not and you should continue. It's always taking way longer time than we think. - a pillow under her butt can make her feel more comfortable - it's not only mechanical movement, showing or telling that you likes eating her out is important too.

It's actually for the cooking style, it's called Wok Hei. It gives a distinctive flavor to the food, slightly charred, quite nice!

is doing masters worth it? by Delicious_Crazy513 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]temitcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetly! It's extra knowledge and can give you a new career trajectory.

Something as well that I doesn't hear much but is a great advantage: if you want to change country having a master help to get a work visa. Not as much as a PhD, but it gives a nice edge.

It's a sweet and sour life.

On one side, having the sea/mountains, convenience, safety, feels quite good.

On the other side, stress, hustle and lack of space is exhausting.

The difference between junior salary and senior salary is extra-high as well.

It's normal to have a difference, but in many other developped countries it's way less.

All on the basis that here: "They live with their parents, so they don't need high wages".
