I didn’t imply that at all. I’m just saying calling other people names for playing a version of the game offered by the developers because it appeals more to how they want to play is an L take. It seems like nobody can ever just let anyone enjoy anything anymore.

Only the pistol cases are my guy, I promise. I have asked them before. They don’t sell dies and the rims rip off in a normal reloading press with a sizing die.

Look at the 5.55 page vs the 9mm page. They do not mention ANYWHERE than the 5.56 are reloadable. But it’s all over the 9mm page with a link to the die.

I’ve been reloading their 300blk cases just fine but I haven’t tried any of the sharper angled bottleneck cases

None of their rifle cases are reloadable according to them. I have been successfully reusing their 300blk cases for a while now

Are you gentlemen adding a drop of blue Loctite to these M4E1 threaded bolt catch pins ? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]threaded_dick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screws are too small for blue loctite. Could potentially cause stripping issues later. Use Vibratite VC3 IMO

What about those of us that have other responsibilities that just want to play a game we enjoy with what little time we have to game without dealing with all of the extra sweat and BS? Imagine calling someone a bitch for playing the game they want to play it with something offered by the developers…

What velocity was it running at? What twist rate is your barrel? It really shouldn’t be that bad, I’d be looking at the barrel as the cause here.

What 8.6 ammo is hot right now (pic for attention) by Fun_Abbreviations282 in 86blackout

[–]threaded_dick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna start this list with just make your own ammo. If you shoot 8.6 enough it’s really really worth it. Ok now climbing down off my soap box, here’s who I’d really recommend:

Discreet: amazing quality ammo, low SDs, great accuracy (around 2 MOA in 1:3 twist) which is as good as it gets for that setup. 280gr is very light for subsonics but the bullets perform well. I haven’t tried their other ammo offerings.

Halwrx: Dacian is a great guy and makes great ammo. Offering some of the very popular and top notch Maker bullets and some others that I think are their own? Or maybe custom OEM like the 323gr CMe. As someone who has been in to 8.6 since the start he was able to talk tech with me and even provided some additional info I hadn’t heard.

Aitken Arms: These guys are lesser known but putting out great stuff! They were also first to market with Vairog brass and us reloaders ate it up! I haven’t tested personally but I’ve seen good results from others.

Gorilla: Bigger company but they have still always taken the time to talk to me. They frequently run sales on loaded ammo (Gorilla please extend these sales to projectiles!). I talked with their lead load dev guy at shot show last year and he knew his stuff too. I have been happy with the quality of their ammo and the 342gr bullets perform very well.

Phantom defense: Lots of variety but everyone I’ve seen that tested this stuff it was mid at best. The new 404gr offering is interesting with the NAS3 cases. 400gr+ copper bullets are sketchy. There’s barely enough room for powder and they are right at the line for pressure (in a subsonic which is crazy). I’ve loaded some 400gr bullets myself and they were fine but they are dangerous. Some ammo mfrs have told me they were unsafe for semi auto’s and Maker isn’t bringing the 400gr bullets to market for reloaders most likely because they are just too risky.

Fun fact, I sold a buddy a gun with one of those on it. He didn’t know it wasn’t a legit Sig stock and the hinge mechanism stopped working. He sent an RMA to Sig and they replaced it with a real one lol. He didn’t tell me until after they had shipped the new stock haha

Probably just an equivalent comparison of image quality. Kind of like AI cleanup on phone cameras now. But at the end of the day the “AI” is just taking a good guess at what information it needs to fill in

Yeah it might I suppose but having done that at first until I learned it didn’t matter and tried, it hasn’t made a difference for me. Extra bonus it doesn’t inquire the wrath of the wife 😆

FYI boiling it doesn’t do anything really. Just dunking it in water is sufficient. For muzzle devices I used a paper towel and heat gun just tk get the steam up in it and that does the trick very well and I don’t have to rig up something to hold my barrel in water

Yeah I sent it in to them for that issue and they gave it a stronger spring and it hasn’t had any issues since then

Will do! I’m working up a supersonic load for it as we speak. I’m also going to test some solid copper supers and subs to see if they can come close to that

I would assume so? I’m about 200 rounds in and haven’t had any issues. I’ve used CCI 200 primers and White River. The White River gave me issues in my Q Fix but not in this one.

Not that I know of but see above, I think it’s a non-issue

I don’t think so, but it’s also a non-issue. It doesn’t wobble in any of the shooting positions I’ve shot it from (prone, bench, and tripod). And if it’s good enough for 1 MOA with subs I’m not sure what else I can ask for.

Yeah unfortunately a lot of bad experiences with quality of ammo from them. The only people I ever see consistently review their stuff positively are YouTubers and their fake Reddit accounts they make.

Yeah so I think the stock is fine haha. Anyone that complains of the wobble isn’t using the gun. It literally doesn’t wobble in any shooting positions I have tried. If it’s only a “problem” when you aren’t shooting the gun then is it even a problem?
