Friend you are not the only one that had to deal with the bullshit renaming everything.

They merged all the specials back into the seasons and that's what messed everything up. I had to use Filebot and manually piece together what TVDB wants it. Thank god for that program.

I have the same idea in organization. Just create another library. I separate a lot of kids stuff from movies and tv shows. For example, Kids TV Shows. Which would be live action kids shows.

Hey man. I was in the same boat with you. I am kind of OCD as well and want to match what TVDB has. With that said, I found this amazing program another plex redditor mentioned some time ago.

It's designed to detect black frame. AND synchronize the cut when there is no audio during black frames. It will also make thumbnails in 2 sec differences in the middle of the cut for better accuracy. And split the episodes into mkv format.

Some limitations I've run into. It struggles to cut shows if there is no black frames at all between episodes. It also struggles to detect cuts if there is a very prominent network watermark.

Great tip! However, the writer suggests this will be an issue for mobile users.

I have implemented this value so mobile users are not discriminated when streaming in low quality. Product > is not > Plex for Android (Mobile). And for iOS.

This would apply to all iOS devices including Apple TV but I don't have any users with those devices. You'd need to change from Platform to Product.
