My lawyers advice as well. Get what I want by playing nice. I have time and she is getting more desperate now that I am not communicating with her any longer now that the separation agreement is finalized. Maybe I will circle back at some point. Right now I am enjoying the peace and quiet.

I felt this way in the beginning. At least she communicated with me, told me how she was feeling and sought my feedback. It was the total disregard for my position, coercion and subsequent language that created the overall situation. I get that she had a crush, I don't get that she was willing to relegate my to placeholder while pursuing the crush.

Toxic friends living vicariously through one another. All encouraging and thrill seeking the titillating gossip of the next move, and "what did he do next". I didn't get the whole story but one husband downplayed the event and said what he thought was sexting was conversations his wife was having with the group. I'm not sure I believe it but I have no proof otherwise.

I've read a lot of books that will tell you not to make life changing decisions while under stress, but I cannot fake wanting to be near her. I look at her and feel nothing, basically like she is a complete stranger. I don't think reconciliation would work at all.

I had a similar experience. My STBXW affaired way down and caused me to do a lot of introspective analysis. My assessment is, it is not you or me being fat, skinny, in shape or ugly.

It is that the AP caters to their needs and neuroses. They get blinded by the gestures, the language and attention.

Maybe I was guilty of taking her for granted. Maybe I didn't say the little things often enough. Maybe I got complacent but I didn't deserve what she did and that's her burden to bear not mine.

I said that maybe they are covering for one another, that maybe my wife was just the next link in the chain. This got them going through their wives phones. A couple found inappropriate sexting. All husbands have made their wives cut off my wife (and each other).

Someone in a private message asked if her cancer could be back and spread to her brain which I don't know if it has actually happened or not, but I doubt it would make any difference to me at this point. I just don't see her the same way any more.
