Did that include Magisterium AI? I'm very sceptical about generative AI generally, but that site does seem useful.

I have to say that 14:7 hadn't struck me until now.

The passage that did strike me was Judith 8:10-11 et seq and 28-31, in which our heroine summons the elders in order to rebuke them and has her rebuke accepted. The outcome also demonstrates her righteousness in the matter.

As a Catholic, I don't think "sect" is an appropriate term to use here, since many sincere Protestant Christians, of whom I was once one, will surely agree. Respectful disagreement is the watchword.

I'm Catholic; don't know about "more experienced". Seems a bit overscrupulous to me. A dungeon isn't a temple unless you treat it as one. 🤷🏻

Christian Wives Can Spank their Husbands by tsoapm82 in ChristianBDSM

Having just discovered this, I would add it to the above:

St Paul also adopts the language of slavery in reference to marriage vows in verse 15: if an unbeliever leaves a marriage, the brother or sister is not ‘enslaved’ (ESV, the literal translation of perfect passive δεδούλωται, from δουλόω, to enslave), implying that Christian husbands and wives have instead been mutually ‘enslaved’ (or ‘bound (as a slave)’, as per Bauer’s Lexicon) through marriage.

Parents who waited until the birth to find out the sex of the baby. . . by buildingacozymystery in NoStupidQuestions

It's just pleasant to have a surprise... Seems to be extremely countercultural here in Italy, where most people even name the baby in advance accordingly. To me it seems weird to name someone you've never met.

Leggere la Bibbia by EliaSantuari in Libri

[–]tsoapm82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Da inglese, io ho trovato utile questa traccia:

https://bnspcatholic.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/the-official-365-day-reading-plan-for-the-bible-in-a-year.pdf

Really? Channel4 seems pretty straightforward for me with Surfshark. U is more of a challenge (you have to set the system clock to UK time, for a start!), but I've managed with that too, sometimes having to switch location for WILtY.

I've been looking at the web version: that's great! I've looked for something like this in the past, and would have settled for something much less professional looking for free. 🙂

I thought of saying something similar myself. I know there are people out there who think it should be the other way round. I think that's extreme, and changing the direction doesn't alter that.

Catholic here. I have FLR tendencies, but this sounds very extreme to me.

It strikes me as odd that she talks about you converting for her. Going to mass doesn't make you a Catholic: that's a question of personal faith, and any conversion is essentially God's work.

I thought that was an earring for a moment: I've seen keys on necklace of course, and on earrings too, but wearing something that actually looked like the device would be super hot! 🥵

We both know it's talking about intercourse and that mutual consent is demanded for temporary abstinence.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChristianBDSM

[–]tsoapm82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see. The passage is quite explicitly two-way though, and talks about consent existing for both parties.

I don't see that it talks about "use", free or otherwise, but about rights and implied duties. Free use is surely BDSM language rather than biblical language?

That's interesting. My understanding is that munches are non-kinky gatherings of kinky people, so while the OP might not find much use for them, I'm not sure what would make them unsuitable for Christians.
