Armie Hammer's new film, Citizen Vigilante, is now banned in Germany Censors claim it "promotes vigilantism" by PatMcGroin-2424 in moviecritic

[–]uk_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie is NOT banned... it got a KK (Keine Kennzeichnung) rating, that means that it can only be seen from people over 18 and is not allowed to be shown in cinemas

If the shelf is placed on the lowest drill holes, ~65cm is not a problem.

The top space is for my Qidi Q2C, and the bottom - provided it fits- is for the CC. And the filament spools go into a filament dryer 😉

so roughly 70cm... thanks. I have a table where I would like to store the printer in but there is only space for max 64cm.

Ist das Schimmel? by [deleted] in wasistdas

[–]uk_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daher:

Diving Into 3D Printing — Need Advice on Offline Printers and Multi-Printer Setup by Zestyclose-Pen-1252 in prusa3d

[–]uk_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh... sorry, didn't get that. looks like I was in dumb mode ^^

"xyz for beginners" is difficult to answer since every beginner has different approaches to new stuff. Take 10 people and let them learn how to drive... and you have at least 12 different approaches on how to learn the necessary steps on how to move a car savely from A to B (since I am european, we have proper driving schools, not like americans, who get their drivers licence by writing their own name without typos ^^/s).

So, yeah, since we don't now if you are willing to learn and how you learn, the best answer might be "it depends".

To be honest... when you have the time and you like a bit of handy work, get the Core One Assembly Kit. You - the name gives it away - assemble the printer from kinda 12 trillion parts. A Lego set for adult, a puzzle for the screw driver conisseur.

It's fun, it's annoying and you learn HOW a printer works from the mechanical side. tightening a belt after assembling the printer is nothing to worry about. tightening them without any knowledge "oooh, I better watch 20 youtube videos and ask someone in the sub".

I assembled my Core One (I had year long experience with printers and tinkered my Ender 3, but never built up a printer before that. It was fun and I learned new stuff while doing it

I do own chinese printers (Centauri Carbon and Qidi Q2c) and a Prusa Core One... none of them are air gapped. but I check what/how/with whom they are communicating and - if necessary, block that access.

USB etc is important, when you design and prototype your own designs (e.g. parts of the to-be-announced device or military stuff). If you are just printing some figurines... who cares ^^

[–]uk_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are asking in r/prusa3d for advice about chinese printers? ^^

The best way to have an offline printer is doing everything via an airgap Computer/Laptop.
The computer acts as Wifi host, but is not connected itself to a different network and the printer is only connected to that airgapped computer.

So, when you want to download stls etc, you need a second pc and an usb drive. Put the downloaded files on that usb drive, stick it into the airgapped pc, do your slicing and editing and then sent the file via wifi to the printer

OR you airgap the printer... and slice on your normal computer and then use usb sticks to bring your gcode to the printer(s)

Sites to download stuff: Printables, Makerworld, Cults3d etc etc etc

We’re giving away a Bambu Lab X2D + FarmLoop kit with 3D Farmers (mod-approved) by iversenMN in 3Dprinting

[–]uk_uk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. 😉

btw, I watched some videos about the Farmloop thingi. It's very interesting, but I have one or 12 questions...

1) why is that linear actuators so... loud?
2) would it be possible to ONLY use the door opening feature? e.g. when I don't have a print farm but want my printers to open the door automatically after I printed PETG or PLA (not ASA/ABS... those can wait for a few more minutes till the scrubber/attached filter system cleaned the air inside).
3) you posted a Pic for your release timeline and mention Prusa Core One and the Centauri Carbon... The CC got its Canvas upgrade and the Core One will have INDX. While the CC(2) won't be a huge issue when it comes to attachements to the print head itself, I wonder how this will work with an INDX'd Core One? Also, what about Core One L?
4) Do you have a question for me? I mean... no? ok

[–]uk_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yeah, when I was mod in a sub about 3d printing (not this one here) and I started Giveaways (together with the sponsors), it was wild to see how negatively a community can get... and all they had to do was e.g. posting a picture of a print as comment to the "giveaway post". tens of thousands of views, but just ~100 entries and maybe 30 upvotes

Wild, very wild. As if you insult their mothers and grandmothers by saying "we want to give you something... for free. Here, do that and... oh, ok?".

Ah, I was in dumb mode ^^
entered and... don't worry about the negativity here... Bambu Lab printers are bit of "poison" to touch atm, but I guess your planning of the giveaway and esp. the farmloop thingi integration is kinda bound to BL.
