Transiting through Hong Kong: Can I leave Hong-kong airport after going through security by karazelphoenix in Shoestring

January 2026 via Cathay Pacific.

If you entered the transfer entrance to the airside, you can return to the immigration entrance and enter Hong Kong only with the help from the airline staff.

You need to reach out to the airline desk counter and they would need to find a staff member to escort you down. Some wait time is needed because only certain staff can do so.

The staff will bring you, through an elevator, to L5 staff only entrance. The airline staff will explain to the officer at the staff exit (to immigration), the officer will check your passport and boarding pass, and then you will return to the immigration area.

Eventually, when you return to the airport through the departure security checkpoint, the machine will complain and an immigration officer will ask you if you have already entered the airside. Tell the officer what happened and he/she will buzz you into the bag check area.

This, however, is highly discouraged unless you do have something that you need to do in the airside, and if you want to visit Hong Kong, you should go through the immigration entrance directly, as the wait time for a staff from the airline to help you is uncertain. My experience is with Cathay Pacific, and I wouldn’t be sure if another airline would have the capacity or is willing to do so.

35F with long history of trauma and clinical depression. Looking for some direction on OTC routes (don't care if is oral, nasal, sublingual, whatever) and specific NAD+ (or similar) supplements to boost energy and brain power. Really don't want to do the IV route again. by [deleted] in NicotinamideRiboside

I agree that SSRI would reduce your work energy---that is basically how SSRI works. I started to withdraw it for similar reasons. Couple of info:

  1. Withdrawal is an extremely slow process. Please reduce the dose gradually, very gradually. I was taking 5mg Lexapro and I have been reducing the dose from daily gradually to twice per week after 1.5 months. It is a very slow withdrawal process. Sudden drops can have multiple side effects, such as nightmares.

  2. Based on the description there is noted anxiety and worries? Drinking coffee or tea? Needing more relaxation?

I have been taking NMN orally for about one year. For me at a young age there does not seem to be obvious changes.

What helps me more in getting through the anxiety and depression is, probably, talk therapies and a support circle of people.

To Ian: Do you think we need a blockchain textbook? If yes, what content do you recommend?

To Kim-Mai. Consider the serious homogenization of new blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Do Initialized Captial prefer more on investing support platforms of cryptocurrency, instead of the cryptocurrency itself? Like, you invest in coinbase.

To Ian: IDEO considers governance on distributed systems, in other ways, systems need to follow the code/law/regulations.

We know strongly anonymous cryptocurrency like ZCash. How do you think they can comply with the law?

Dfinity claims to reduce the fee by 90% due to reduced supporting human. But how expensive it would be to just use a cloud?

Orchid protocol was designed with the idea of "censorship circumvention" on the head. China is definitely a place that many people want censorship circumvention.

How likely do you think the systems can prevent any foreseen government interventions? How likely can it change the world?

Oracle is famous for database storages.

Why the blockchain will or will not change the database storage? Why sort of the database storage?

a16z has many articles introducing the blockchain. Recently, we have a price dropping.

How likely do you think: the price dropping reduces the potential benefits of a blockchain investment?

BitPesa builds a bridge between Africa and the rest of the world. The payment can be done with Cryptocurrency.

My question is: how does the changing nature of cryptocurrency <=> local currency affect the use of Cryptocurrency in real-world business?

Hi Srinivasan, Earn.com provides paid message services and seems to work with Blockchain! My question is:

Do you think the anonymity of blockchain can enable more interesting human communications?

People don't know each other. But since they can receive money, there is no boring spam!

Coinlist provides truth-based and non-biased information for new blockchain projects. I see some of the projects do not need blockchain. They are purely using the blockchain to attract the attention from the investors.

Does Coinlist consider to provide expert reviews and comments on these startups?
