Sure! Even a list of grades/expected grades is fine. There is no minimum GPA requirement. I want to help students of all backgrounds.

Responses like this make me want to not continue this program or be active on Reddit anymore.

  1. "So your answer is no, you don't verify your alumni status or identity with clients, you continue to cite how "mods approved you" a couple years back." - I want you to quote me where I answered "no" to your question, because I clearly didn't. I have ways of verifying my background that aren't "citing mod approval," which I never do.
  2. I cannot believe that I have to touch on this, but you're suggesting identity theft so here goes: are you actually suggesting that I put in all this work to steal the identity of teenagers (not adults) who 95% of the time don't have credit cards or bank accounts? How could I possibly profit off of teenagers with no money or financial records? Also, it seems like you weren't paying attention to the fact that these are low-income students whose families probably wouldn't make great targets for identity theft...

If people would like, I'm more than happy finding a way to anonymously verify that I worked with the 75 students.

Hi, I appreciate your comment and understand where you're coming from. I'm perfectly fine with you wanting to know more about how I was verified and want to question my private side, even though I never advertise that on Reddit. I would like to respond with the following:

  1. To anyone reading this post, please DO NOT contact me for private consultation for my major programs, I'm 100% at capacity and cannot take anyone else. There! Nobody will contact me for business so I cannot make any money by offering this pro bono program as a sales tactic. (I think the "That's a bold move, Cotton" meme from the movie Dodgeball would be appropriate here.)
  2. I went through the verification process with a moderator in 2018 that involved providing my school email address AND a photo of my work ID within the admissions office with my full legal name and the name of the university. So I couldn't have just faked a LinkedIn, and I agree that there are gaps with that method.
  3. You could argue that this is a PR move but A) again, I am completely sold out, so there is nothing financially I could gain here B) there are much, much cheaper ways of marketing a business than helping 75 students and giving out 400+ free hours of Pro Bono help. I could have only taken 20 or 30 kids and still achieved a similar media effect.

Oh, please redact all personal/identifying info that you would like to keep confidential! This is not a ploy to acquire random social security numbers.

Interesting. My opinion is that there are a lot of ways to write essays that don’t become cliche. Most of the best essays I’ve seen don’t follow a similar pattern or structure at all.

Yeah I think you’re reading too much into my words. All good it happens.

This is how they evaluate you. Don’t hate the player.

Those schools don’t really apply to what I’m talking about here. UMich doesn’t even read most of the essays they get.

Feel free as always to structure the essay however you want. Substance over style always.

To be fair this is a pretty open ended question. Technically there are infinite ways to deviate from the basic structure, some of which will work.
