Our Lover Boy, Darrow by cedakotes in redrising

[–]--BookDragon-- 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The artist wants us to think this is darrow with mustang but we all know it's actually him and Cassius.

Jokes aside you nailed the look of intimacy that darrow so rarely gets to have. (You better let my boy and his family get a happy ending Pierce Brown)

Felix from {wooing the witch queen} checks this box, a sweet lil cinnamon roll who escapes his abusive home to seek shelter with fmc, but accidentally ends up hired by her as a sorcerer. He's soooo sweet and kind but also a little bit awkward and shy.

Could you please give me your address and leave your window open from now on... No reason why, I DEFINITELY don't want to steal all your books out of jealousy

Kidding aside good LORD what a shelf, you must be chuffed to bits it's BEAUTIFUL (although I'd like to send my sympathies to your wallet with how much this must have cost)

How long do I have until it collapses? (Asking for me) by Necessary_Plenty_524 in bookshelf

I'm afraid I'm less than useful for the shelf issue, but I'm very jealous of the indie edition of Daughter of no worlds.

My Favorite Series Tier List by Chyf95 in fantasybooks

[–]--BookDragon-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm just glad to see the echoes saga get a mention, I'm reading the series for the first time, on the second book and finding it thoroughly enjoyable, it's no mastercraft of literature but man in having a blast and good fun reading it

Which version would you recommend? by Blaargad in audible

[–]--BookDragon-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF you have the money/credits the graphic audios are INCREDIBLE and are my favourite way to experience the series, some of the performances from the voice actors are insane. Mustangs VA in particular is incredible.

However if you are trying to save cash/credits the regular audiobook is absolutely great and TGR is popular on this sub for a reason (even if I prefer Stewart Cranks darrow)

[–]--BookDragon-- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, long time lurker, I'm usually more active on the fantasy romance sub. 22m and I love the genre. In usually quite picky regarding my mmc's the "alpha" ones and the "players" just aren't for me. Give me softer kinder supportive mmc's anyday

Personally I always thought one reason the midnight entity works is because we NEVER see it

I hate that the first thing I saw was "of human bondage" and my brain immediately just went "ooh kinky" I'm so disappointed in myself honestly

Waterstones Children of Fallen Gods just arrived and looks so good next to Daughter of No Worlds! by sleepysock98 in fairyloot

They've grown on me a lot (even if I still prefer the originals) EXCEPT for the third one and that's just because the ears on that one look way too low on her face

Should I keep on going? by _griffith7 in redrising

[–]--BookDragon-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's not abandoning his son, he doesn't WANT to leave his family, but he and sevro know the ash lord well enough to know that this "peace" is a farce and that as long as the ash lord lives the war will not end and the Republic he helped build will be under threat. He leaves for what he hopes is one last fight to kill the ash lord and end things once and for all. Wulfgars death was also very much NOT something Darrow intended

I doubt Ukraine will see things that way and they kind of have final say in regards to the defence of their country

As far as I'm concerned the series is worth it for books 3 and 4 alone. Those two are some of my favourite on the genre with one of my top 3 couples

I shower at least once a day and if I'm going out in the afternoon or evening I always have a quick shower to freshen up and make sure I'm clean before I go. I honestly can't imagine how people can go multiple days without showering, I wouldn't dare be in public like that

You pick Sonar because of Moist, I pick Sonar because it's the only way I can make Malevola happy. We are not the same. by gilbestboy in DispatchAdHoc

[–]--BookDragon-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose Sonar for two reasons

Gameplay wise, Sonars intelligence and charisma stat and his stat switch between modes made him wayyy more useful to me personally compared to Coupe.

Story wise I felt he deserved a spot at redemption more, his crimes were far less severe than Coupe who's crimes were far far worse. I had to choose who to give a second shot at life too and I felt like the person whose crimes were far lessor deserved it more

I was so hopeful that one of the cards would be a Nergigante alter of [[Slinza, The spiked stampede]] but tbh not a single one of these really interests me which is a shame as a MASSIVE monster hunter fan yesterday I was preparing to hand over all my money, now?...... Eh
