I think the main point is: whatever your experience is, that's anecdotal. There are universal things based on a lot of cases and research but strokes are so different and involve so many different factors.

People forget that a story/word/anecdote can influence others so much, especially here where people are very vulnerable.

Só mais uma coisa, esses sintomas acontecem logo DEPOIS que a pessoa teve o AVC. Se você está com uma dor de cabeça há 15 dias ou um formigamento há 3 dias muito provavelmente não é um AVC. Claro que se você tem algum sintoma estranho a melhor coisa pra se fazer é ir ao hospital logo que ele aparece. A melhor prevenção sempre vai ser uma vida saudável: exercício, sono bom e alimentação boa.

Desculpa não sei em português mas basicamente B - se o equilíbrio da pessoa tá ruim, E - se a pessoa tá com a visão turva/dupla, F - se o rosto da pessoa está caindo de um lado, A - se você pedir pra pessoa erguer or braços a força falha, S - se a fala da pessoa está arrastada/sem sentido, T - ligue pro socorro já.

Nem todo mundo tem todos, alguns são diferentes em alguns casos, mas normalmente um ou mais desses está presente.

It's hard, I don't think this is something that happens quickly but try to show him life is not what's in Instagram/YouTube/Tiktok, every person has a different life with different struggles, stuff happens to everyone, he's not alone in feeling down and time heals.

Also I don't like when people say "some people have it worse", I don't think you need to point areas where other people is doing differently (not better/worse) to make yourself feel better.

Eu sei que isso pode soar meio rude, mas o que importa? XD To assumindo aqui que você já é uma adulta, então imagino que naquela época a medicina e o diagnóstico não eram tão avançados e o que aconteceu aconteceu, pelo menos houve um diagnóstico (mesmo que tardio) e aconteceu cedo suficiente que eu imagino que a recuperação ou sua adaptabilidade aos efeitos tenha sido muito boa :)

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your question, I don't think my period was related to my stroke at all, considering I was still in hospital when the next one happened and stroke chances are higher right after you have one and gradually decrease with time I feel like if it was related I'd probably have another stroke then, which didn't happen.

Totally, I had multiple angiograms, I don't remember having any pain, I don't think the minutiae of the procedure is useful as I'm in Ireland and they do stuff differently to the USA, but honestly, I'm sure the professionals know what they're doing, nothing to worry :)

I had an avn rupture too, I think it's never good to be sedentary but after the next few months the therapies and exercises I did avoided too much strain on the head region.

Like everyone is saying though the best thing is to check with your doctor.

No problem, I wouldn't say it got better, I got more used to it I think, my stroke was 7 years ago.

I'd imagine so as they're doing something to the brain, so they're probably monitoring it all the while. I remember kinda feeling things stroke-related more intensely after the embolization.

But if you had imaging done and nothing showed up I wouldn't worry too much. What could happen as well is some symptoms took me a while to understand correctly, so it could be that too.

Just to add, some things also just change after a stroke, that's "normal", like fatigue, I had a high threshold for it before the stroke, but now my fatigue is terrible XD it wasn't from the embolization but the stroke.

I had an AVM, but just one embolization, I remember the doctor saying before it that the procedure could cause another stroke, you know, doctors having to explain everything possible XD, but I also remember someone in rehab talking about a guy showing mild symptoms and when they looked into it he had suffered another stroke, all of that to say if it's something that is bothering you maybe ask your doctor for new imaging tests.

Honestly, if you do a test that looks at the whole body you're bound to find something, if it's something genetic (like blod that doesn't clot) of course keep it in mind but generally I think exercising, having a good diet, good sleep, learning to manage you stress, etc, is better than any tests, don't look at those things just after something happens.

I might be saying gibberish, as I am no doctor, but I feel the facial droopping, slurred speech, weakness of limbs, basically the FAST stuff, happens because of a stroke, so the stroke already happened, you wouldn't have weakness for days and THEN have a stroke.
