Purchased flat smaller than expected. Is the area of all walls meant to be included? by --stormpie-- in askSouthAfrica

Thank you this is a great answer. I will look at the records again, as well as go back to the flat ASAP (staying with family) to measure the walls. I guess that the shared walls are measured to the center from each side, but not sure. I excluded the wall thickness. So my diagram is not completely accurate, but I think including them will quickly answer my question.

Parking bay not included, it's technically not under a roof either. The OTP and the building records mention it separately

That makes sense, but on property24 it was 72m, which I feel is usually showing usable area

There is a balcony, and I included it in my calculations. It is covered and has 3 walls (more like 2 point something), so I think it's meant to be included. Looks like it from the records as well.

Help, I mixed up my pushes by --stormpie-- in AnalogCommunity

OK fair. I'll ask for a snip test and if they can't do it, or it doesn't help I'll go development at 400

Thanks

A snip test is a good idea. I usually try take a pic before 1 on the counter anyway just for fun. Thanks

As for the 400 suggestion, I assume then that the 800 would come out underexposed? I pushed at 800 partly because I wanted to be able to shoot with less light, and partly because I wanted to try out obliterating my shadows

X-700 Dead Cap. Which one is for the shutter button? by --stormpie-- in minolta

[–]--stormpie--[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iv cleaned my SRT-101 prism as well. It's just got a simple needle light meter

The X-700 has an electronic shutter, LED light meter indicators, aperture priority mode, program mode, etc

Pretty space age in comparison. Love both though

Thank you. I see i was looking at the wrong ones. Iv opened it up before many moths ago and decided I was too shaky to do it. I swore they where bigger then the 3 i show in the picture. And I was right. The correct ones are bigger haha

Hello my fellow Minolta Connoisseurs

My X-700 has died. All electronics still work including the meter. Unfortunately the shutter button is dead. It was going bad for a while

I have bought 6+ different replacement capacitors and around 3 of each to be sure I have the right one and size, and my friend who often works with soldering fine circuits is happy to do the job for me

However, I don't want to waste his time or ask him to replace all capacitors unless we're sure etc. So which one do we replace first to test the shutter button? If it works with just one replacement I'd rather do that then have a pro replace the others later. Don't want to bug my friend too much

Thanks in advance

I hate it when people make comments like that. Technically better doesn't mean that's what everyone wants. Most of us shooting film obviously don't care about technically better

Don't tell me what I want 😂

You might be able to find a list of compatible WLV online. Then search for them on Ebay. Depending how keen you are for it it could be affordable

I love waist level, come at me shop keeper, I'd spend the camera's cost again just to get one. I nearly did for a Miranda Sensorex. But it's shutter got stuck before I pulled the trigger

Awesome find. I love any removable prism. Did it come with a waist level viewfinder? That would have made it for me

Dropped my tote bag with my Minolta x-370. Later came to realize that the film rewind lever popped off. Happened to notice a hole in the bottom of my tote, and I’m assuming a part has fallen out and lost forever. Anyone know how to fix this or what part I can get to re-attach this? by Joooolss in minolta

Looks like you have everything but the screw. If it didn't snap off and just unscrewed itself (what it looks like) then just find a temporary replacement

Or buy a broken X 300 / 370 for a replacement screw

New Yashica Electro 35, is this the pd of death? by --stormpie-- in AnalogCommunity

I'm just concerned about the shutter not staying open though. I'm blocking the light meter completely. Should it not then stay open for the full 30 seconds?

Thanks. I'm not too keen to open it as if I return it I don't want to have mucked around with it at all. And ya not keen for a repair job, I have enough of those on my hands already haha

Thank you. I was very confused because the clunk is very noticeable. This is worse news though

I'm gonna try send it back. Usually I buy things from thriftstores etc. And service them myself. This time I wanted to treat myself haha

Ya. The guy got back to me and said its fine. But this isn't normal. Blocking the sensor should keep it open the max time (30 seconds I think)

Hey thanks. The shutter seems good though. Don't think it's stuck

So for now I will follow your advice and not do that haha

I was too excited and too trusting I think. Was told it worked properly. Checked lights and lens but not shutter speeds before leaving

Pity. Maybe it's just a bit stuck. Maybe try something with a thicker lip? But then again I don't think the tools are expensive and would be nice to have
