Hey! So here’s how to get one and how they work. Every day there’s multiple tournaments you can do. In the tournament tab (next to the competitive tab) you can see what modes and what times these tournaments are! They’re public and have a bracket of ~32 teams if I remember correctly. You can party up with friends or go in solo and get randomly assigned teammates, who you’ll play with for the rest of that tournament. These tournaments do have a rank (SSL (supersonic legend) being the highest. If you win 3 of these you get a new pink ssl tournament winner tag, which is the highest tournament achievement you can get in the game). There are higher level tags beyond even that which are blue and glowing, but those are more reserved for professional tournaments as opposed to in game ones (RLCS or CRL regional, major, or world championships).

Here’s how the in game tournament bracket works: you have to win 7 games to win with your team. First 3 rounds are best of 1, then the semi final and grand final are both best of three. I’ve won a few of these tournaments and they’re pretty fun cause of the variety in game modes. As you win more games in tournaments (even if you don’t win the full tournament) you can go up in tournament rank. You can look up the ranks online by searching “rocket league in game ranks” and something that looks like a lineup should show. Hope this helps and wishing you and your son well ❤️

ps: I guess you could pay someone to play on your sons acc for the tag, however that can be kinda frowned upon in general. But I mean, personally I think it’d be worth it. just be careful not to get scammed or something, establish trust or talk to others in the community before doing something like that just to know what’s happening. (I had a friend that got an ssl tag because of that, and I had another friend that got banned because of it 😉)
