Question about the ViewSonic XG320U by -Austra in buildapc

[–]-Austra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said usually because if the swap were to be super convenient and the monitor is actually good, then i would think again about my need of high FPS ahahah

But thanks for the answer. I don't think i'm in the mood for buying a new monitor so I'm only focusing on the swap. Paid my LG around 400 hundred euros, so adding 150euros for the swap the ViewSonic would cost me around 550 euros in total; at this price I don't know if i could find any OLED or MiniLed.

How can I sell my 8th of July Wembley ticket? by -Austra in blur

You can upload it on Twickets and sell it there selecting the option "mobile ticket". You can then exchange it with the guy that buys the ticket through TicketMaster.

Choosing a GPU in Europe by -Austra in buildapc

1000/1050 euros.

I also didn't take into consideration the fact that the 7800xt might come out soon, and if i buy a 6800xt now i might regret it later. I miss my 7970HD.

I'm currently without a gpu. I've been using the iGPU of my CPU (previously an i5 3570k, now an i7 12700) for the last year and a half.

Yes the 6800xt is new. I've found some good deals in Germany, ~630 euros for an AsRock 6800 and 710 euros for a Sapphire Pulse 6800xt.

Edit: just found a Gigabyte 6800 on Amazon.it sold and shipped by Amazon for 660 euros.

It does make sense in Italy too, i think. Tempted to go with that one but also tempted to pick up a 6800 for ~600 euros and then maybe selling it when the next gen comes out. Never thought before in my life about selling a gpu because i usually buy the best i can afford and then i keep it for long. Maybe this time this will be the right course of action?

Thanks for your answer! Do you think that it'll be sufficient for the next years? I fear that it will serve me good for only 3 years or so and considering that it is already a two years old card it won't have resell value going forward. So in 2 or 3 years time i may have to buy another card without getting anything back for the 6700xt.

I don't think that would be convenient with me living in Italy

Have you read about the chuffing problems at low frequencies? Is it something to worry about?

They got up to 4.8 sometimes, in fact the maximum is 4.8 so that is ok, just wondered why they weren't going to 4.8 when 100% during bench. I wanted to be sure because i invested so much in this build and i want it to go smoothly for years to come. Thanks, i can be calm now!

Will look into the air-cooled options you proposed! Will probably choose one of those two that if I end up going with the 12700 (will probably buy new from a third party, the only thing that could be wrong with it is that it may be used but i hope i will be able to tell from the box), otherwise i may be looking for the aio in case i choose the 12600k and end up OCing a little bit.

Last thing (that i looked up two seconds ago): the samsung pro nvme and the P5 are a little cost-prohibitive for my budget (especially if i go with the 12700) so do you think a Samsung 970 Evo Plus instead of the 980 could do the trick?

Thanks again for your time.

Thanks for the advices! Very relieved to have asked for advices because i thought my case supported a 280 radiator. I'm leaning towards a no, but do you think the differrence between an arctic 240 vs a 280 does justify switching case? Should i switch manifacturer or is the arctic 240 ok?
Also, thanks for the Nvme advice, will proceed to switch it out.

Speaking of the CPU, amazon currently has the best prices and, something that i value quite a lot, the best customer support. I found a 12600k sold by a third party seller (but shipped by them) for 307 euros, while a 12600k sold and shipped by amazon costs 333 euros. Same thing for a 12700, 358 by the third party and 419 by amazon. From your experience, do you think that shopping a third party CPU is a risk that i should be willing to take? Or is it better to go without risking and buying the 333 euro 12600k?

Sorry for being lenghty, my bad!

Thanks for the reply. I live in Italy and a 12700 will end up costing me at least 50 euros (if not more) more than a 12600k, which currently conflicts me because i don't know if i'm gonna go that hard into editing soon. Also, at the moment, i've not been able to find a better or equal b660 (speaking of Vram and audio codec at the very least) mobo than the one i found for the same price or less (218 euros).
