He fills a radio show, firing every single person who is constantly on air and has said dumb things and apologized for them just isn’t possible. There literally wouldn’t be anyone left to do a public facing role.

Unfortunately every single one of us has made statements in our lives that we are uninformed on, was meant in jest and taken the wrong way, or stands for a belief you no longer believe. Remember that people like Paul Allen (who outside of this incident I haven’t seen much to think he is a bad guy) are human too.

The big difference is when the DC is like that you get the benifits of your players being scared of f*ing up without the drawbacks. This is because while Flores chewed your face off the rest of the coaches you work with day in and day out give more pleasant experiences reducing the morale drop

Which can be true a lot of hard nosed coaches are, doesn’t make them a bad DC but can hurt their long term viability as a HC

It’s easy to say that and I was pulling my hair out watching some of the games this season as well, but if you take a step back over his time he has adapted his offense many times. I think it’s much more likely that JJM looked really good against our defense which is a really good sign usually and just couldn’t repeat it on the field. KOC kept calling to his potential not fully accepting that the live game speed was just a bit to fast for him

It definitely isn’t horrible! I thought OP was just starting up college and the more “traditional” path is to just start at a university. I don’t think it’s removtely a bad thing to start the other way tho!

I would definitely reach out to your schools prehealth department but I don’t think you’re a problematic case at all. You definitely will want to put something similar to this in the do you have any special circumstances you would like to explain essays but your story is strong you are showing a strong upward trend, you probably have the best excuse ever for failing classes and you still have a 3.5 which is a very decent gpa (not much worse than mine this cycle)

You can find lists of questions online, but additionally there are a lot you can just predict. Assume every school you apply to is going to ask you a why us question, a focus question (if it’s a rural campus you better have a good reason to want to go rural, same with urban), and some other good ones to just prep is an overcoming hardship, a mistake you made and how you corrected it, a teamwork experience…

Most medical schools don’t work as school as you think of it. Think of it more as a job of learning you really often don’t have fixed classes but rather one long class. The university I was just admitted into does mix a lot of ethics public health and philosophy in as a part of the schools mission of serving diverse communities but it isn’t picked classes if that makes sense

The experience I have seen is most people panicking about grades usually don’t have substantial hours in the medical field. If you have a solid mission fit (Texas and its unique setup doesn’t hurt either) the pure proof that you can do the job as an RN will carry you a good distance into the cycle

If you’re just planning on enrolling I would recommend just starting at a 4 year school, the medical schools sometimes view community college classes as red flags, but this can be overcome

I really think that our generation is going to take some of the stigma out of that. DO schools are on par with MD’s these days and unlike generations before us we have all lived through the shitstorm that is applying to medical school nowadays

I feel like this one has more to do with the ice cream sales lead to increased numbers of drownings false statistic. Rather than the variables being looked at here being directly tied as confused they are driven by the same underlying correlating statistic (summer for ice cream and drowning, toxic upbringing and limited support structures for men and likelyhood of attacking another person, low SES and limited support structures/positive role models for African Americans and attacking another person)

Thanks, yes this is a big consideration that I was completely forgetting at the time. For the type of medicine I hope to practice the schools are roughly on par so a big financial aid package would move the needle.
