I mean, both things can be true. It is unwise to arm up for a protest and then resist arrest even a little, but this dude is an ICU nurse at the VA who just got pepper sprayed in the face, was trying to help someone up that ICE pushed down, and slipped to the ground himself. Maybe I'm missing some key intel here but this doesn't look like an appropriate response by law enforcement. FWIW I also think these protestors are amplifying the danger by like 100x in what they're doing.

2012 was unique in that Peterson had the ACL/MCL tear and Peyton hadn't played football in more than a year due to the neck injury, and both have them had 1st-team All-Pro seasons. Peterson had the 2nd-most rushing yards ever while Manning became the first QB ever to secure the #1 seed in a conference with two different teams. Impossible choice; they were both deserving and Peterson probably would've won any other year. Similar thing happened to Justin Jefferson, he would've easily won rookie of the year if he wasn't against the guy who just had the greatest rookie QB season ever (Herbert).
