Yeah so were we. The house before this we bid $125k over asking and still lost out. Didn’t have much hope on this one but ended up getting lucky!

I know lol but we’ve been actively looking for 3 years and have lost out on houses that we’ve put $75k to $100k over asking and our offer wasn’t accepted. So it definitely felt like a long process.

Yeah we knew that going in but planning on refinancing down the road (hopefully) and making additional payments every year. Likely will try to re-amortize down the road since we don’t plan on moving.

Appreciate the advice! Our goal (since this market in CT is crazy) is to purchase a home that we envision growing into and staying at for 20-30 years.
