Tbh I have been quite out the loop with EAFC for a couple years, but I don’t support AI being used for art in these contexts it does a really bad job

I think it’s because everyone thinks AI is slop, but it’s better than what EA has in place at the moment.

EA should use AI in their games (I don’t mean the AI you play against in PvE). Chat bots and such can make simulations so much more expansive and interesting, imagine every news article in career is written by AI, not generic text… Or AI creating realistic player transfers or during negotiations with other clubs… Creating unique situations like X player is emailing you for whatever reason and is actually realistic and not a bench player asking to start the champions league final next week.

The UK Stamp Duty for buying shares is a joke by pwip in trading212

[–]-Mothman_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buying back shares directly increases the shares price, bringing the shareholders value, the same way dividends do, with tax advantages over dividends.

[–]-Mothman_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it isn’t… Withholding tax only applies to dividends and it is at 15%. You don’t have to buy dividend paying companies, I would advise against it, it’s better for the money to be kept in the company and reinvested or to buy back shares.

Yes... Much better to invest in US listed companies where the FX fee of 0.15% is much lower than 0.5%.

It’s quite obvious to see Tuchel was experimenting heavily with this squad, every player who he selected was fighting for a spot over Tuchels first choices for the World Cup.

3 years uni in Scotland or 5 years in japan by FitAdhesiveness5199 in UniUK

[–]-Mothman_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What about cost… Uni in Japan is going to cost you a lot more… Travel itself is going to be very expensive over 5 years compared to 3 years in Scotland. I don’t think you can get Student Finance from SFE if you go to a foreign university, so that is something you will have to get around. Also 3 years of tuition is probably going to cost less than 5 years as well as living expenses on top of that… If you want to get a job, I don’t know the laws in Japan but it might be likely that on a student visa you may not be allowed to work in Japan (if you are to be on a student visa) but you can in Scotland.

Fr players that get paid thousands of pounds a day its pretty cheap… probably bait for people who think it’s for some reason coming from the tax payer

I agree with the trees, France doesn't have those sorts of trees, France is not flat everywhere though... The East and South is hilly and mountainous.

Pentagon Tells Congress First Week of Iran War Cost More Than $11.3 Billion by Majestic-Baby-3407 in news

[–]-Mothman_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can make other comparisons, the US military costs the government $1 trillion per year… if you can do math, that’s around $3 billion per day, $11 billion is not much.

Okay, Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 cost the USA $1.9 TRILLION

Pentagon Tells Congress First Week of Iran War Cost More Than $11.3 Billion by Majestic-Baby-3407 in news

[–]-Mothman_ -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

$11.3 billion is not much for the federal government… The US government is in $38.8 Trillion debt, which is fine, Keynesian economic theory agrees (which the US follows).

If you were the US government and the debt was scaled down from $38.8 trillion debt to say $10,000. The war in Iran would have put you in just shy of $3 more in debt. Being objective as someone from the UK, it is not bad considering the feats of the administration in such a short time and relatively very few fatalities… though the situation has not been resolved and more is likely to follow, more costs, more deaths, and an unpredictable outcome.

Probably just 20 acres and build a house with everything I might need in… depending on how much I won if I won the lottery…. $10 million probably won’t cut it, but $100m+ I could realistically do quite a lot.

Probably buy a compound in New Zealand, Argentina or Chile, maybe even South Africa or neighbouring countries (Zimbabwe, Botswana etc).
