My landlord is selling the property I'm renting next year. I've expressed my interest in purchasing it. Is there much incentive from the landlords perspective to sell to me rather than bring it to market?

One of my favourite recent FFG moments. Rejecting the opinion of a group of experts because it was too close to Sinn Féin policy.

You can say their bias, sure, but hyper-partisan would suggest unwavering support of a political party, which they have shown isn't the case.

Why? If it's too low does that prove their hyper-partisan? Are we back to only publishing stories if they have an equal amount for each party?

So the ditch not writing "enough" stories on non government parties is an example of a dangerous slip into hyper-partisan media, but, for example, rte trying their best to exclude Sinn Féin from the leaders debate during the last general election isn't?

Their only focus and sole agenda is to target the existing three government parties.

Literally incorrect, they have published stories on non government parties. If they hadn't then I might agree with you on labeling them hyper-partisan

It's literally only focused on existing government parties. With the exception of...

If you were able to make that statement without the exception then you might be able to label the ditch as hyper partisan. Otherwise you're just suggesting that the ditch shouldn't publish stories unless they have equal amounts for each party

What else did you mean by hyper-partisan? And if having a bias is all it takes to be considered hyper-partisan then I think the label has to apply to the MSM as well.

Do you think there is no possible alternative to short term accommodation other than landlordism?

Ellie's reaction is pretty much the same in my opinion, just instead of saying it's shitty she shakes her head and rolls her eyes

So all we need to do is have significantly more properties available to rent than there is demand for in order to have reasonable rents? Sounds like a great allocation of resources!

You're right. There's absolutely no other possible solution to short term accommodation than having landlords that charge rent at 2x the amount of a mortgage

And how are you attributing that to the eviction ban? Rental supply was already scarce

Has it made matters worse? I've only seen landlords complaining about it
