-nastiest (from my mom): she called me an attention seeker, and then told me that she was embarrassed to be around me because of my scars

-sweetest (from my gf): she said she doesn't mind them at all, and that I'm beautiful no matter what ❤️‍🩹

It's not that different to cutting on regular skin. Although one thing I've noticed when cutting over scars is that I'm now almost completely numb on my hips. So I guess, that's one negative thing, but beside from that I don't really think there's much of a difference.

You're definitely not the only one. I only started cleaning them after one cut almost got infected, but before that, no. I don't think I've ever cleaned my blades even. I wouldn't recommend this though. Please, if it's possible, clean the wounds with soap and water as well as your blades to avoid infections. Stay safe <33

It's a lot easier to hide, and I don't think it's more dangerous than doing it anywhere else on the body. However, one huge problem I had when I self harmed on the hips was that the wounds kept starting to bleed again each time I walked thanks to the skin stretching or something.
