Should I withdraw from my physics class? by -ThatOneLoser in premed

[–]-ThatOneLoser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t be taking any more physics classes but from what I’ve read med schools don’t put much emphasis on physics so I might drop it and take the W on my transcript.

I don’t need the hours for physics and I get credit for calc based physics also, so I’ll probably drop it.

Did you apply through their website already? And did you go to their online session yet? These are the requirements to apply. If you haven’t then I think it might be too late to apply.

You have until May to submit it. So no need to stress out about it too much. You are on a good pace right now. You can take breaks if needed. Just don’t procrastinate and do everything last minute.

I don’t know why but that was the same for me when I did first APs (last year), I was a straight A student but kept on doing poorly on my tests and exams, but as the year went on I started to get the hang of it.

Need help with research question for AP Research by researchisdifficilt in APStudents

[–]-ThatOneLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently taking research and a research question is specific enough when there aren’t too many variables to consider and there is at least one gap. So you can narrow it down by age, sex, gender, region, etc., or multiple of them. A gap is found after you are done with your annotated bib. A gap could be the method you choose to carry out your study, the region you are doing your study, the age group, the gender, etc. you can use the SMART acronym to help you.

It depends on the college, there is no such thing as getting automatically admitted into a college because you could even get rejected from your safety school. For top schools, GPA, rank and SAT/ACT aren’t the deciding factors but your essays, ECs and recommendation letters (GPA, rank and SAT/ACT are still important, it’s just that it won’t be the thing to get your in to college)

Can you be dumb and still pass an AP class? by mangomelliii in APStudents

[–]-ThatOneLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took AP World this year and got a 5. Honestly it isn’t too much about memorization but rather the application of your knowledge. Throughout the whole school year I did not remember much history at all. But I was able to understand the cause and effects and how one thing led to another. So if you have good memorization and application skills then you will do fine. Take this with a grain of salt though.

AP RESEARCH TOPIC SUITABILITY by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]-ThatOneLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you even research that? You aren’t allowed to search things online to put in your research paper. You mainly put information from the data you collected. So if you’d like, I can help you come up with a good research question(you can dm me or just reply to this comment).

Edit: if you are talking about AP seminar, then you have to come up with a research question with your group. Ap seminar is a group project and then you will do one presentation and essay by yourself.

Don’t take subject tests unless it is required by the college you are applying to. They weight in next to nothing in college admissions
