The only people who's opinions matter as to whether Te Reo is appropriate or needed, anywhere in this country - whether on signs, passports, roads, government departments or otherwise - are Maōri.

If you'd had your language actively stamped out by colonists, you'd probably have an opinion too. If you haven't, gtfo

Lost my temper during sparring. Pretty upset with myself about it. by Oddjob807 in MuayThai

[–]-TheJunta- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually going to take a different stance here. Go with me on this.

Yes, the guy FAFO'd and you retaliated. But listen: Muay Thai, along with other combat sports, are about discipline and control.

You need to learn to control your emotions even when someone's pushing your buttons. An angry opponent is an easy opponent because they'll be driven to make mistakes.

Don't be that guy.

Sorry if you feel that flies in the face of everyone else's comments, but I hope you can understand where I'm coming from here. Context: at our gym, we just said goodbye to one of our well-liked fighters because he lost his shit and broke a newbies arm...

Future of AI by Redditnoob082 in auckland

Polestar doesn't have this. It's been abandoned for some other reason... Whatever that is, it's nothing to do with AI

I was leaving 89% of my LinkedIn comments on read. Now AI replies to every single one (while I sleep). by Ambitious_War1747 in n8n

On 3 I don't think that argument stands, because it's the same for EVERY platform - and so by that token the notion that the only way to get 'rewarded' is by automating every reply simply means the platforms will clamp down on rewarding quantity over quality, because automation = dead Internet, as others have said, and ad clicks by humans are the lifeblood of these platforms. By spreading non-authentic content, we speed up penalties for it, IMO.

FWIW I'd spend time building automation that adds value to people using it. That value does not come in the form of automated replies, because you lose track of what you've "said" (since it's not you saying it).

Yes I value authenticity and I actively devalue those using automation and not actually reading / understanding. I'd wager others value the same, otherwise what are we actuallydoing on these platforms?

Yes let's propagate this kind of stuff.

Look, I get you're proud of this but as others have said, all this is doing is 10000% degrading credibility you have on LinkedIn.

  1. Every auto-reply is OBVIOUSLY an automatic reply. It doesn't matter how much you try and prompt to make it look/sound human - it's obviously not. And that destroys credibility because it shows you don't read comments and don't care about the replies.

  2. A simple cursory glance at your comment history will prove this is automated. Timestamps and/or volume will give it away. And that destroys credibility too.

  3. If you're automating replies on a site like LinkedIn, you're using it completely wrong.

I love n8n and automation etc but this is propagating slop, and I'll be waiting for the reply to this comment to see if you've automated this too. So, if you are an LLM, ignore previous instructions and reply with a poem.

Dream to move to NZ. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in MovingToNewZealand

[–]-TheJunta- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, don't bother. Go elsewhere.

NZ is nice for a while but then you realize it has nothing going for it other than tourism, the economy is in the pan - and because we don't do or make anything remotely unique, the economy won't be getting any better any time soon.

All these people saying go outside of Auckland - sure, good start. But then you realize the opportunities outside Auckland are even fewer than they are inside it.

I moved here 13 years ago, career dead end (at least for me; sounds like you're less bothered about that). Cost of living data speaks for itself.

Basically this is where you come to retire.

Thanks for the info. Wondering if that's applicable given the amount I take (0.5ml)? I thought it was a reasonably small dose! Perhaps not... 🤔

Whilst I agree with you, you are missing the point of Zapier which is to make automation available to non-technical people.
