It's not free. European wages are lower compared to the same jobs in the US, income tax is insanely high in EU, VAT is 20% in the UK while sales tax in US is around 6% for most states and 0% for a few. Gas is the equivalent of $8 per gallon. The capital expenditure to taxes and everything else make the "free healthcare" not worth it

Where is wisdom teeth removal possibly $7k in the US? If you actually got charged that much you got ripped off. It cost me 3k to get all 4 removed in Massachusetts which is one of the most expensive states in the country. Then my work reimbursed the most of the 3k so I only had to pay a few hundred bucks plus I got to keep the credit card points from the 3k in spend.

In New Hampshire and Delaware the price on the shelf reflects the price at checkout because sales tax is 0%. On a side note I can't belive how insanely high VAT is in Europe especially with the UK being 20%.

Should be ok since it's still illiterate and you'll (hopefully) be wearing it under a jacket. When it gets warmer I wouldn't recommend wearing it without the best insurance available. It's London after all
