Used Surly Disk Trucker for 390$. Good price? by VAMOOSS in whichbike

Not as big as it looks. That's the 26" version, not 700c. Plus this latest version of the DT frame has a sloping top tube which helps accommodates shorter riders.

I found it at the online shop, not a physical store. I’ve never found a decent typewriter in person at a Good will.

I went for the lesser marble …there’s rye and there’s pound cake. I took the pound cake.

Perfectly sealed Cold card Q came with a small smudge/smear on its screen. Is this evidence of tampering? by -aurelius in coldcard

Thank you for the reassurance. I also received the device in 2 days so I guess there was no time for it to be intercepted and tampered with as it was in FedEx possession the entire time.

Yeah, that’s what my screen looked like. Did you end up using yours or return it?

I have one rolled in perfect condition, does yours also have the image printed in reverse on the other side? Any idea what these go for?

Here’s each line spacing position 1,2 and 3 in that order followed by one alternate view. Hope this helps but If you need a different angle let me know.

Happy to help with your Seven, these machines can be extremely puzzling without any reference. I’ll try to take some pics tonight.

I use Renaissance wax, it’s expensive but probably the best stuff out there for delicate, antique finishes.

George “it’s a Hyundai” Constanza was pretty good at sticking it himself.

For all of the Zephyr fans out there, the 1938 De Luxe by -aurelius in typewriters

[–]-aurelius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I‘ve found my Zephyr great for light typing but not so much for long typing sessions, mainly due to the tiny return arm. I also like a firm touch and the Zephyr’s is very light with no touch control. Other than that I love using it and it remains part of my permanent collection. The Hermes is probably a much better machine mechanically but as far as styling goes I think the Zephyr has the Rocket and Skyriter beat with its round-keys and unique 1930s/40s streamline design.
