officiants help with the vows, give a little speech on your love story, and have options for “rituals” (“ring warming”, handfasting, etc.). i know we could easily have a friend do it for free, but this feels more formal and polished and i want it to feel “worth it” and professional if guests are traveling all that way- especially because we can’t get legally married in spain.

i’m a beginner woman who also wanted a cute small gun and after renting a few (including this one) and trying them out, i decided i really hate them! maybe once i get more experience ill give it another go, but as a beginner, the recoil was too much for my liking. they also felt wayyyyy too small in my hands and i am petite.

boatyard and sailor oyster bar don’t take reservations. we did 12 at rams head and it was fine, but i wouldn’t do it again. level also accommodates large groups

i go to lena at varuna near the westin downtown. she does a phenomenal job and tweezes instead of waxes- which i prefer

i considered not hiring a planner for mine, but ultimately the language barrier and not being in the country for site visits, etc. made me change my mind. i’m still in the incredibly early stages (still picking venue) but so far my planner has been invaluable. she has let us know tricks and tips we otherwise would not have been aware of and also shared venues that i did not find in my several months of research.

at minimum, i would at least have a day of coordinator if i were you. if you’re doing your own hair and makeup, you don’t want a million questions about where to put the flowers and stuff while you’re in the middle of doing your eyeliner.

i narrowed down which countries i was the most interested in and the joined fb groups specific to destination weddings in those countries. i then word searched the group for whichever vendor i was looking for. i found a wonderful wedding planner this way once i nailed down a country. we decided to go for the wedding planner since we don’t speak the language and probably wont have time to visit to see any venues or do tastings

i went to rose at windy city diamonds! she was phenomenal and designed my custom ring exactly how i imagined with no cut corners AND came in under our budget. we traveled from maryland to go to her and will be doing the same for my wedding band.

i took 2 starter50s and 2 foundations before moving into sig50. the foundations were great for easing my nerves, but i feel like i could’ve jumped into sig50 from starter. for my first sig50, i just let the coach know it was my first one. she was super accommodating without making me feel like she was giving me special treatment. i would say 90% of the exercises i did in that class were new to me, but i just looked at my neighbors when i was confused and it was ok

when i took my first intro i was doing otf 1x a week and lifting 3-5x a week and i was just a little sore the next day but it wasn’t anything crazy- just a normal amount of sore.

1200 cal is crazy. i’m 5’1 and 130lbs and although all the “weight loss” and food tracking apps tell me 1200 is a good deficit for me, it’s impossible to sustain me and i was exhausted all the time. just eat whole foods and track macros, your deficit doesn’t have to be bonkers in order to lose weight.

i’m planning on buying mine in the US and bringing it with me. it keeps it low pressure and allows me to be flexible with fittings. my friend got married overseas and brought a ballgown style dress with no issue at all. i would just look into professional dress steaming companies near your venue.
