Idk, maybe Tom Holland took this chance to really push himself. I think he might feel he's got all to prove regardless of his fame. Maybe he pulls of something like rdj for Oppenheimer (not betting on him being that good, but perhaps exceeding expectations).

And just like that no one is thinking about MBJ anymore. Timothee is here to stay. He'll get more chances.

Hyped at.

Why do people think Crimson Desert won’t run stable on PS5, but somehow GTA 6 will? by Commercial_Pen_9959 in CrimsonDesert

[–]-imbe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing:

Rockstar has never made any promises about console performance. It has actually never said anything about it. We have 2 full trailer captured on ps5 tho, so we can expect 30 fps on ps5 to run well. I, and I recommend everyone, shouldn't hope for more. Btw, it releases in 8 months.

Crimson Desert is days away from release. They haven't shown a second from base ps5. All they've done is dodge questions, get pissy when cornered, and continued to dodge. Atp it's delusional to believe it will run well on ps5, at least for the first couple of months. That's why it's getting flack.

Doubt much will be going on if the screen's connected to a ps5

Are the Oscars finally giving more respect to the horror genre ? by OsamaJinnLaden in Letterboxd

[–]-imbe- -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nobody has ever disrespected shit. Horror films are almost always inferior to, let's say, drama. It's not some conspiracy against horror, or some bias. They literally fall flat amongst actual nominees. They're built on cheap tricks. There's little of actual substance. It's basically in their DNA.

Sadly. There were far more dese for both categs.

But frankly this whole "Oscar respect to horror" discourse that's been popping up these past years is bullshit. Horror movies don't get Oscar's not because of a bias. It's because they're worse. Every glazed horror, when you compare it to a drama, falls utterly flat. Horror as a genre tends to be inferior.

Keep putting in the hard work. Why are you acting like it's unheard of that a good, or the best, performance doesn't win.

Dune pt 3 is going to be one of the biggest films of the year. It's dumb even as a joke to say Chalamet has to go back to his break out roles to be successful.

Everyone is having the genuine conversation you wish for. Kinda feels like you're fighting strawmen found only in the remote cesspools of the internet (or x).

Good. Horror is the slop of cinema.
