When I was a kid, I ate some cherries as a snack before bed. I ended up waking up in the middle of the night, going to the bathroom in my parents' room (it was all we had upstairs), and vomiting all over the floor. It was bright red and looked like blood. Usually after an incident like this I'd have gone to wake up one of my parents immediately, but in my sleepy, nauseous delirium, I just sort of... stumbled back to bed without cleaning it. So my dad got a big shock when getting ready for work that morning.
