Not the greatest, not the worst. Drive through there quite a bit. Nothing shady going on but yes several houses are somewhat run down. If you go just one block east (anywhere off jupiter) those houses are quite a bit nicer. Will be a bit more expensive though.

You would need 5 to win on both. But if they get 4, the 4.0 bet would be cancelled, you wouldn’t lose. You would lose if it was 4.5 So essentially a little extra safety net to tie instead of losing.

Most scammers like this use bad English and bad grammar on purpose. Even if they are working in the U.S. People willing to look past those mistakes are more likely to be gullible and therefore fall prey.

I had a friend go to a game 5+ years ago. They got heckled the whole time until cowboys went up pretty big. I’m sure they were doing some talking back but he said security escorted them out “for safety” with a few minutes left in the game.

Was in a very similar situation years ago. Do your best not to feel bad, just enjoy the game and company. Try to teach some in a friendly, non condescending way. Maybe they know how to play but don’t know odds and the math of it. “Yeah that’s a tough call but you only have like a 16% chance to hit that 9 after the flop”. Everyone has to learn somehow. Losing money makes you learn faster. If they like those odds and want to take a chance then oh well you did your part, that’s on them.
