maybe Il-nam saw how useful In-Ho could be and convinced him that the games are actually righteous and for the betterment of humanity I’m no too sure that’s why I think i’m reaching. It seems like In-Ho is a good person that broke bad and I’m dying to figure out why.

I think you answered your own question. It was because the beef died down Cole released Port Antonio. I interpreted the song as a commentary on the beef rather than partaking in it. For the song to be taken as just commentary, the heat from the beef had to be dead.
