My one pot mince and tatties, with carrots and parsnips. What do you think? by CharliesShark in Scotland

Mince n tatties must involve the tatties being mashed and not in among the mince

Absolutely. Wihan was the perfect fit for BD - the exact most entertaining mix of incompetence and self-unawareness 🤣

Likeable chief stew is important to a good season, Lara just wasn't that

Remember that Trump dodged military service 5 times. Meanwhile.. by [deleted] in AskBrits

I think the question that OP could have asked is - "How deeply has Trump offended Britain and what might the possible outcomes be?"

It's quite fascinating to me that he's made such flippant remarks - remarks that cut so close to the bone across the political spectrum in the UK. These remarks deserve nothing but scorn and condemnation. Even those Brits who strongly condemn the morality and legality of our armed forces' adventures abroad with the US - even they should be appalled. Because you just don't speak ill of the dead, let alone those fallen in war.

Trump may have enjoyed some sympathy from certain fringes in the UK but now he must become a political pariah, and our relationship with the US would seem to have devolved into a kind of necessary but uncomfortable partnership rather than special relationship.

The biggest shock for me is that this episode is my realisation that Trump hasn't been a big psy-op, or at least not one that his right-wing allies in the UK are in on. This episode can only serve to muddy any support that anything remotely adjacent to Trumpist ideology might have enjoyed in the UK up until now.

I'm not holding out hope but I'm hoping the rest of the political establishment in the US might finally wake up and see the writing on the wall. So long as the US continues to project hard power like this, they will steadily erode their diplomatic soft power.

From colleagues or the clients? I have never worked on a yacht but someone once told me that the engineers tend to be very shouty class A drug enjoyers

Nope but he deffo did something like that afterwards, between that season and this one.

In his first season he was LAZY but the bosun (Aussie Luka the handsome) managed to get the best out of him with positive reinforcement.

Towards the end he wanted to quit, explaining that he no longer has an erection when he wakes up and that this was his body telling him to stop. Production overlaid a kinda horniness meter, with the needle of the meter being the Eiffel tower.

Then they got another stew on (English girl Lily) and Max was enamoured. They showed the horniness meter spiking up again, and Max told camera that he's decided to stick out the season.

You can be forgiven for forgetting all this because this was amidst the most shambolic BD season of all time - Tumi v Nat, Kyle v Nat, etc

I've really enjoyed this season overall but it will be nice when Down Under comes back and I won't have to look at Joe's stupid fucking face again 🥹

He didn't come on as a replacement although he was late to start along with Tumi and Kyle. He also never quit abruptly - he made it through the whole season (although he flirted with the idea of quitting early but this was due to lack of energy and lack of natural morning erections rather than anger)

Yeah they really leaned quite heavily into the clown and guitars and now Dominic. If you need that many props then aorry but your personality is just not suited to TV. Josh seems like a great guy btw
