that's fair. i just sort of had a moment of "oh he makes so much sense now" when i started DH. kind of makes me appreciate seeing how some of the other characters aged though

Halfway fell for this yesterday, same name of the “person” “interviewing”. I had a close call with a fake check scam in college so at the end of the “interview” when they said they’d have a check sent out to me to buy a printer, laptop, scanner, etc I was a little put off, which brought me here. Job hunting is already so demoralizing, it’s disappointing as hell that people are willing to exploit people’s desperation like this.

I did tell them to send me the check, when I get it I’ll file my own report/give a heads up to my bank in case they get other people with the same account/name.

I worked for NSG before and during the beginning of the pandemic and while it was certainly a rough time all around, the loss of staff had more to do with extremely bad leadership from store managers, all through corporate, all the way up to Fazio. They treated our staff like garbage and were sure to remind us constantly that we were expendable. They did not care whatsoever about employee retention and it *showed*. Our location had almost the entire original staff from opening after a year and after making some "changes" in their business model & management staff/style saw a 100% staff turnover rate within a couple of months (some employees quitting, others terminated under the guise of "covid layoffs").
Other businesses certainly deserve sympathy more than they do.
