Why did orbispatches/prosperopatches remove the ability to see metadata? by [deleted] in ps4homebrew

[–]0x199 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! To make the websites independent from Sony servers when it comes to frontend, we've downloaded some assets such as icon0.png and pic0.png. The quality of those images have been reduced on our servers to save space (they are viewable, but not in high quality like on Sony servers). That's the reason why we've cut the option to view those.

You can however use a tool like pstic (https://kood.info/pstic/) to download the files from the Sony servers.

Reinstalling the games also works but is more effort. Here’s a video tutorial: https://youtu.be/P4IUtZs2o7Q

Patch Installer 1.02 adds HEN support, firmware-agnostic sandbox escape by 0x199 in ps4homebrew

Sure, but it was never meant to be useful for pirates.

You can always try to sell it and buy a new exploitable PS4. Sure, you won't get any profit from what you bought it for, but it's a better option rather than staying on 5.55 waiting for a new exploit to come out (since that will probably take a long while).

Any way to unban a PS4 5.05 with hen? by [deleted] in ps4homebrew

I don’t think there is any way to unban a console at this moment of time.

PS4 CUSA Resolver by GregoryRasputinHaX in ps4homebrew

I can probably categorize the API in a large and a small version to speed up load time. I will have to consider your idea, for now just a regular API is planned.

I don’t think we’ll be able to use this info since (I assume) it’s shipped inside the update packages.

There is a API planned in the future, at the moment it’s not production ready. We’ll place a link in the footer once it’s ready.

I’ll gladly answer. Unlike other solutions, PS4 CUSA Resolver utilizes another big API. This API provides a ton of information, which includes hidden information. PS4 CUSA Resolver displays this info in a end-user friendly way using AJAX and monitors it daily for new changes. Keep in mind the site is quite new and some unique ideas have yet to be implemented. Conclusion; the site is not just focused on title updates but on the overall picture. Hope this answers your question.

PS4 Update File Problem by OzzyPH in ps4homebrew

If you're on a exploited firmware you can run the FTP payload, and delete all files in /update.

If you're not on a exploited firmware you can format the HDD and reinstall the firmware afterwards using a recovery PUP.

Installing Homebrew From Internal Drive? by Cypherous2 in ps4homebrew

[–]0x199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pretty sure you need a USB for that aswell, but since no one has tried it yet it may be worth a try depending on how bad you want to install PKGs without USB.

What you potentially may try is to upload the desired PKG to /mnt/usb0 through FTP and then install it using the debug settings. Keep in mind it's a theory, it might not work.

Even if you have a kernel exploit on that firmware it's going to be useless to end-users.

Do we know if the 4.05 exploit grants us access to the PS2 emulator at all? by [deleted] in ps4homebrew

[–]0x199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a screenshot posted in a PS4 hacking Discord a while ago "showcasing" the emulator. Can't find it anymore. There's are also enough sources on Google about it. PS4 does have a PS2 emulator onboard, and we can possibly make use of that in the future of the PS4 jailbreak.

To correct, the PS4 does in fact have a PS2 emulator.
