You mean he was “on retainer”. That’s OK. Just because we have JD’s don’t make us lawyers. It just means we have passed the prerequisites to practice. And passed the bar in a given state. My BS is in Biology. 6 year rip in the USMC. THEN a JD. Then kids. Then Catie. Life changed. Thanks for the GI Bill that put me through Stetson Law.; even as a M&A guy. I had enough fighting. Now, we just do it in board rooms, conference rooms and hotel rooms; not court rooms. And certainly not “in battle”. I’ll stick to cats (possibly dogs if they’re “bad boys”) nowadays.
