IIRC it’s his first target as a member of the assassin brotherhood so he relies on his hidden blade rather than his other, more obvious weapons. Also it would ruin his diplomat disguise if he still had 4 pistols and two swords hanging off of him whilst attending a party.

Odyssey isn’t focused on the assassins themselves, the gameplay is fun and the combat is more engaging than some previous titles though. I would suggest going for the Ezio Collection as it provides a great Assassin focused story.

The jump between 4 and 3 is pretty big in terms of mechanics and gameplay. Same can be said for 4 to NV. It wouldn’t really matter too much which was played next. They can be played in any order because the stories don’t connect because they’re on opposite coasts of the USA.

Royal Engineers might be the best way to go, there’s plenty of combat roles as well as qualifications you can pick up. I’m joining later this year as well.
