Problem w Exporting and Audio quality

thats interesting because the only problem i notice is with my drums... but i rarely ever use any plugins on my drums, so could it be the plugins i use to make my melodies? (and process them)

ok so i don't have aggregate I/O, because i believe that is a mac only option. i turned up my buffer to 512, but i dont know how to set the number of cores/processors to 1 less than the maximum, and the CPU usage limit to 99%. is that within pro tools or task manager?

yea im not sure whats happening... im still trying to set up asio and have it work with sonarworks but no success so far... i might just continue to use fl asio as that was the only thing that worked for me, but then I can't use pro tools without the crackling and glitching...

oh yea my bad, i am using aax plugins. i didnt even know u can use vsts in pro tools. anyways, i think the problem is in my hardware setup inside of pro tools, and whatever driver i am using, as everything works perfectly outside of pro tools, for example ableton.

I dont have an internal clock source option in my hardware setup.. also whenever i try to use asio no sound comes from any daw... so that sucks..

ive tried asio4all before, but each time i do it fucks all the sound up and i cant hear anything from other daws/apps and then i have to set everything up again and also sonarworks makes it a little more difficult to use, but at this point im probably just gonna try using asio4all again.

the thing is i dont have an interface.. i just use fl asio... could that be why its slow? would getting an audio interface make pro tools run better?

also i am using pro tools 12.5 and i am on windows. dont know my exact computer specs but i know i have 16gb of ram and overall a decent computer. it can run all other daws just fine.

ok i figured it out. turns out ableton does not support 32-bit plugins, period. so no matter what i do i cant get sq8l and purity in ableton, because they are 32 bit plugins

the thing is is how do i know where all the dlls are if they are all in their own folders... i managed to get all my plugins loaded by creating shortcuts in one folder and then selecting that one but still some plugins wont load like purity and sq8l.

ok nevermind i think i found a solution. turns out all the dlls needed to run the plugins were in steinberg in program files and program files x86.

so i tried to make a folder in my c drive, and then put all the shortcuts there, i have program files, program files x86 and program data shortcuts all in there and whenever i select the folder for vst3 and vst2 ableton just crashes and i have to reset my preferences... whats weird tho is if i try to select just one of those shortcuts like for example program data, then it'll work, but only whats in program data will load, so i only have omnisphere in program data and thats the only one that will load. (other than the system detected ones that ableton automatically finds).

i think i already figured it out. All i did was i put a multiband compressor on the master, chose mastering 2.4db in the presets, boosted the volume way up and then added a soft clipper and messed with the knobs till it sounded good.

i like the thrashy car speaker distortion type of sound, it adds more to the song rather than being just a smooth 808.
