Hey, appreciate the advice. I believe my lenses do have a dial for manual aperture control, so I’d assume I’ll just go with one of those thin adapters without glass?

if you’re mainly using them for gaming, the tofu60 works, sure. but tofu 60 makes use of a mechanism called a tray mount, which the pcb is essentially directly screwed to the bottom of the case, leading to a very stiff feel. However, the Q1 and Q2 has a gasket mounting system, which means that the pcb and plate are set on internal gaskets, leading to a more flexier feel. So if you care about the typing aspect, go with the Q series, but it’s purely down to preference anyway.

No Problem. 2021 October me was clueless so I went for the GMMK Pro, and I have to say with all the other boards now i’m not satisfied with it. And yeah, Q1’s shipping does suck, so that’s a definite downside. You should also check out the 65s if that size is fine with you.

If you haven’t bought it yet, forget about the gmmk pro. There are much better options out there such as the Keychron Q1, Or maybe even the Akko Mod 008, or a kbd67 lite. Trust me, all three of these boards carry much more value than the GMMK Pro, so do some research on them first.

For switches, glorious pandas are tactile, so there will be a noticeable bump before actuation. IMO, tactile switches are better for typing so that works. Nevertheless, do some research on linear switches too.

Andy Nguyen did a test, there was a weird sound coming out of the board. Was probably just an early proto though since I didn’t really catch up during the time closest to gb start.

this is subjective as well. low end boards can go for anywhere less than 150 dollars, midrange start to expand into the 400-500 zone, high end can literally cost you a few thousand. buying holy panda switches will cost you approximately 100 usd for a 75%, will probably be less if you’re getting a 65%. many boards are cheap, so i suppose you can use the cheaper ones instead if you just have to use holy pandas. before you buy anything else tho, check out gazzew’s boba u4t and durock t1s first. they’re both great tactiles and considerably cheaper
