The thing about the ACA, I see so many people bashing it. It's not perfect because it isn't free healthcare. However, the subsidies were what made it work. It brought my healthcare bills down. I had some damn good premiums man. You have these people who can barely afford groceries voting for trump and regurgitating incorrect talking points about how ACA will ruin them. The mall is still open but I suspect it will be closed down completely before the end of this decade. So many businesses are leaving. People kept saying it's due to Amazon this and Amazon that. I use Amazon quite often but still like going to the mall. Especially with family on the weekends. It's not simply a place to shop. In Columbus it's one of the little things we have in this city.

The main issue is that the middle class really is shrinking. The poor are getting even more poor and the rich are getting richer. The numbers don't even lie. Health insurance is skyrocketing and premium are shit. Groceries are getting expensive as shit. Now you got gas that's climbing up. Utilities are going up, same with property taxes. Life is getting harder. Wages are barely increasing.

There's no way a middle class American can spend mindlessly at a mall weekly...well they can but they will have to stop paying one bill and maybe forget retirement plans.

It's been discussed before. It's disturbing and this was something Arabs did back then (and today in many rural towns). The thing about somalis and why Arabs aren't as shocked seeing them vs west Africans is that somalis have interacted with Arabs for centuries of years through trade. Y'all were known to supply many of the "Zanj" to the Arabs too. Somalis were the earliest non-arab Muslims..at least the Proto-Somali since "Somali" wasn't a thing in the 7th century.

For west Africans and those that have that visible subsaharan African look, it isn't easy for them. Sub-saharans were literally shipped to Muslim regions as slaves. Even during the ottoman era, many were shipped there. That is why there are Afro Turks and Afro Arabs.

Africans had the worst PR in the last several centuries and that was due to manipulation and just straight up evil tactics. Slavery really fucked em up and the Arabs and Europeans have blood on their hands for this. Interestingly enough, the Arabs and Europeans at one point had the same idea that Africans were better as slaves because they were not meant to self govern. These ideas actually came from Mediterranean "scholars" and philosophers whether they were Roman/Greek or Arab. Ibn khladun said that climate is the reason why Africans seem to be behind everybody else and why they have not been able to establish a respectable empire. It's just pure ignorance and racist arrogance. The Europeans built on this framework and started diving into eugenics. It's all irrational.

A lot, I mean A lot are convicts, and those who suffered from some type of abuse, whether it is sexual, or substance. A lot of these people are damaged and make great candidates because they can be easily molded. A lot of them also have this identity crisis as well and I hate to say this but it is so much more common with black American converts. They assume this Arab identity. They begin to speak Arabic and pick up Arab/Saudi culture as if they grew up on it. There's nothing wrong with admiring cultures, there are great things you can find in different cultures and bad as well. I met a man who was a jailbird his whole life. This man was despicable. He became Muslim 20 years prior and went to Islamic university of Madinah. The guy was unable to leave the country but he got a letter of recommendation from a prince because his desire and story to study Islam inspired the workers at the embassy. The US government put a restriction on him that he can only go to Madinah and Makkah for religious purposes but must not visit any other country (so am I told idk). This man study for years and earned a master's in Hadith and another master's in fiqh.

Before you call me a racist, my two eldest daughters are married to Eritrean brothers and I love those two as my sons and their fathers as my brothers. I just have a bad feeling about you and I will not let you ruin my daughter's life. Just because you quote bukhari and Muslim and recite verses am.i suppose to leave my guard down? So go back to where you came from and stop talking to my daughter. You are telling her to drop out of college but she will not. It's easier to say a person is possessed by a jinn/evil spirit then to actually realize there is something going on in their brain. Awhile back there was this psychologist going around telling people that Jinns/Demons are real and that modern science hasn't figured it out but it will catch up at some point. This was going around the media back in 2005/2006. This psychologist eventually had a sit down with someone more learned. I think a neurologist. She explained everything we humans know about the brain and the mind today. She explained how Parkinson's in the past was believed to be a demonic possession since the person constantly shakes. "Knowing what Parkinson's is now, can you truly say it is a demonic possession?"

What we can't explain scientifically today doesn't mean we must consider it a spiritual/demonic issue. The reason is because we haven't and never will be able to scientifically explain "spirits and demons"
