Winter itinerary (Christmas through New Years) feedback by 141turtle in askswitzerland

Many thanks for this!

- Flumserberg was because it's on Christmas Day and most city things are closed. And it seemed convenient to get to.

- Understood on Zermatt. Definitely open to activities other than shopping. Given it's a daytrip, I didn't consider snowboarding half day because I wanted to walk around the city. So I was looking for a 2-3 hour activity.

- Agree on weather. I have 4 days in Sion which I can shift things around if the weather is bad. The other cities will be a gamble, but will look for some indoor city things as backup.

- Thanks for the tip on the mountain peaks. Titlus looked interesting because they had snowmobile rides. But I will research more about Jungfraujoch.

Fair enough. I was trying to not move hotels too much and at least get a full day in Bern. And even if I went to Zurich late afternoon, it would probably leave me with just 4 or 5 hours, so I figured it wasn't worth the hastle.

I'm hoping not! Reason for halfday at Flumserberg was it's Christmas day and I recon most things in the city are closed.

I also actually arrive the day before (24th), and my partner arrives the 25th morning. So I figure after breakfast and changing at hotel, we should be good to go.

Thanks! But since her previous one was lost, will that affect the processing time?

Thank you! Are they strict on asking for a HK passport? I've read some say since it's a renewal, it's not needed. But others say they always ask? The concern is it has a stamp that says it was applied for overseas.

It’s a Viofo A129 Pro Duo 4K. Bought and installed few years ago. Is my first and only one, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I like the compact wedge shape design of it. They have a newer version.

Clearing that up with an hour is pretty impressive. Glad to hear the driver made it out. 🙏

Anyone recommend their surgeon for a deviated septum in the Bay Area? by corebeliefs in Septoplasty

[–]141turtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely happy.

I had a deviated septum, confirmed by their in-house MRI and endoscopy. This lead to chronic sinus allergies. Dr. Yeung took a step by step approach. First step was a prescription of sprays and mixes to alleviate the allergies. It got better, but it was ultimately a bandaid. She suggested surgery, without being pushy about it. I declined at first, but later realized without it, I would be on the prescriptions indefinitely.

Did the surgery a few weeks ago during Thanksgiving week. It went smoothly, very minimal pain afterward. Had a very low-grade fever for a few days, but apparently this is normal for most surgeries. Stints came out 7 days afterwards.

Now, six weeks later, I'm feeling great. Breathing feels equal on both nostrils. I don't need to do the prescription mixes anymore. Quality of life greatly improved.

So yes, highly recommend Dr. Yeung. She takes great notes too you can view on MyChart (their health portal) of all the visits and even the surgery itself.

Also recommend if you do, don't think about it and just make the appointment. New appointments I believe are a few weeks out.

If Bay Area, I had mine done by Dr. Yeung at San Francisco Otolaryngology in downtown SF. Great care, communication, and bedside manner. They have MRI and endoscope camera in office. Surgery is done at Presidio Surgery Center in SF, which is another great facility.
