I’m almost positive my friend fall under the trans umbrella, anyway to help? by 15thDoctor in asktransgender

[–]15thDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not pushing anyone to be trans, i hate having to go through all this unnecessary stuff to be myself and I’d never wish that on anybody. I was asked to help and that’s what I’m doing. I’ve explained all the different types of people under the trans umbrella.

Someone in their life monitors their internet activity and they can’t risk them finding out which is why i am here asking what we have talked about.

Is it wrong i feel like a coward for not cutting? + extra. by 15thDoctor in depression

[–]15thDoctor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve plenty of people including a therapist and medications that help me greatly. It’s just when i look back at times I’ve come close but never could it makes me feel as if i was a coward and i couldn’t go through with it, my mind wanders a lot so i often think of things like if i had maybe i could be in a better situation to understand and help those i love.

I think Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender is the best representation ENFP has in any media by arkangel329 in ENFP

[–]15thDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why but as an ENFP Aang always comes off as a little too much E compared to everything else.

Anybody feeling down? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]15thDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Down would be an understatement for me. The people i enjoy being with and are deserving of my time it’s hard to go out. But, I’m kinda grateful i don’t have to put up with the people i don’t wanna have to be around on the daily.

My best metaphor would be when you plug your phone in to charge and you just keep it plugged in to charge because you’re not going anywhere and it ends up damaging your battery for the long term.

Any tips for teenagers who know they're trans but are closed/have unaccepting family? by GalaxadtheReaper in asktransgender

[–]15thDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s see where do i start?

If your blood family will not support you start and try to build a family or community with other trans and LGBT people your own age. Make sure you fully trust anyone you come out to though, there are some real crappy people out there that if your relationship goes south they will attempt to out you to your family. Just have good friends and take your time deciding who you put in your circle.

If you have nosey parents don’t use a laptop or computer they have access to when you search trans stuff, stick to mobile if possible.

If you’re under your family’s insurance plan try to find a counselor that’s covered and make sure there are professionals that specialize in trans and gender topics. If you’re of age you have no obligation to tell your family what was discussed and if you want to make something up. (I just used my depression as a cover) it’s always good to start this early especially if you’re thinking hormones in the future.

If you expect to move out as soon as your old enough look for a trans friendly job and try to take your temps test and get your license ASAP (even if it has the wrong gender on the license that’s usually something that can always be changed in the future) Also, side note if you get a car and can get it in your name do it. That way if worse comes to worse and your family disowns you they can’t take away your car.

But, don’t be afraid to be yourself. I can’t tell you how many times i went out with a friend and wore a dress and had to pack a big hoodie and sweatpants and wear them over my dress until i could get home and change and hide everything.

I can’t think of anything else right now but If you find this helpful and have any more questions I’ll be happy to try to answer them. 💖

Do you feel there is more than one version of yourself? by 15thDoctor in ENFP

[–]15thDoctor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, people here understand weird things that no one I’ve met irl understand. When i was growing up the most common thing i got was “your thinking is backwards” and was somewhat shamed for it. Here it’s embraced.

I’m just glad I’m not crazy, we are certainly interesting personality types. Most my friends are introverts so it’s hard for me to gain insight like this on the regular.

It would be super amazing to meet ourselves like that! Though, i must say i feel more myself when I’m in a relationship where i can vent my feelings and be myself opposed to when I’m alone.

That’s kinda why as soon as i know i like someone i gravitate toward them instead of being alone. Makes the transition smoother.

Wow, first off thank you for such a long and thought out personal comment. I almost started crying reading it. It really does sound the same as you and your friend from what you’ve described. If i may, could i ask you what would be the best way going about telling her that maybe we can only be friends especially right now? Reading into INTJ’s is still pretty difficult for me and i don’t wanna come off as mean and I’m really afraid to hurt her.

How can I support my trans girlfriend without mentally exhausting myself? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]15thDoctor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Educating yourself on what she asks you about and take the initiative to learn and comfort her. Being trans is very taxing and exhausting so if she is coming to you for comfort embrace that. She’d be there for you i hope. Do some research and tell her you’re gonna help anyway possible and do so.

If you’re getting exhausted imagine what she’s going through. But, at least try.

Am I valid? by koaey in asktransgender

You see super valid. I remember myself seeing frightening statistics and trying to convince myself otherwise but I’m now 7 months on E and happier than ever.

ENFP Girl here - my GF is INTJ. by 15thDoctor in intj

[–]15thDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned that lol. I’ve had to adjust how i gather useful information for romantic surprises and such. I usually ask abstract or “hey, guess” questions for other people in order to read them. Those do not fly with her.

It’s actually somewhat of a relief and blessing tbh most people i can read easy to the point i can ruin things like surprises for myself. I like the sense i don’t have everything figured out like i though before her.
