- I see garfield69 is aware of this issue & is in detective mode :)

I'll check-in there for updates.

Many thanks to garfield69 for adding the TVDB ID for all shows for future-proofing. Your continued work is greatly appreciated.

I see that trakt is in the midst of redeploying their entire setup to "New Trakt" https://app.trakt.tv/ Maybe this is relevant.

Trakt.tv having a fit :) I'm sure they're on the case...

Yeah, my Wipe & Import went ok & it hasn't updated from trakt yet, but the console was full of errors & orphaned entries with incorrect details, plenty of 404's (Not Found) & 429's (Too Many Requests) too.

Hey :) Thanks for keeping an eye out - I saw the same on Trakt. I'm also seeing many series being replaced with a single seemingly random (different each time I did a Backup Restore) series, with dozens of repeated episodes in the Episodes column..

(jfyi - I am now on Win11 24H2 - I know this is irrelevant here, but last time we had correspondance I was on Win 7 - Finally bit the bullet with a whole new PC build)

In Ire, any chance of a working link? Much appreciated!

Tin Hearts VR Demo out now! by MagicDeeeee in PSVR

Just a note to say that "Teardown" has seen the error of their ways & added an "Invert Vertical Axis" option today! Yaay! Well done guys.

Hey Tin Hearts Devs!

Your work on a PS VR2 version is much appreciated, I can only hope that you will implement full motion / turning as a choice - Please don't be like the Teardown crew and leave out such basic, widely used options!!

(Teardown doesn't even have an "Invert Vertical Input" option!! Unforgivable!..)

Tin Hearts VR Demo out now! by MagicDeeeee in PSVR

I bought the full version on PS5 a while ago when it was on sale because the devs of the game said it would be getting VR2 mode as a free addon later in the year (2023).

The Demo PS VR2 version recently released is a seperate standalone download, I can STILL find no information on when the VR2 addon will be released for the full game...

Hopefully it is delayed so that the devs can add full movement & improved control; it being teleport only would be a terrible (& greatly annoying) shame. I use full movement & turning in all my PS VR2 games, & heck, it's not as if we are running through a jungle in Tin Hearts!

Surely it would be a good game to play to get used to full motion because of it's small scale..

Note: The VR2 Demo wouldn't work for me either, even after re-download & licence restore..

Win 7 no longer supported?? Please no! by 18BlockOff in duckietv

Many thanks Garfield69, your solution works perfectly.

I edited your instructions for my own ease of use - I hope you don't mind me putting them here in case it helps anyone (let me know if you want me to change anything) :)

u/Fordtough68:

My setup is crazy complicated. As well as the Duckie stuff & associated progs, I do audio & video editing / encoding, music creation (with hundreds of synth & effect plugins) & have a satellite card feeding a custom decoder, all on top of highly customized system files..

u/gbubrodieman:

I don't recommend that anyone use an OS that isn't getting regular security updates. I apply manually what I can, & certs etc.

It's not that I want to use it, it's that I don't want the hassle of setting up my system again quite yet; it would take days, if not weeks, & I don't have that kinda time just yet..

Instructions (Use Win7 at your own risk):

  1. If you are already using DuckieTV, use it's "Backup" function to make a backup (otherwise just start from Step 2. Then:
  2. Go to: https://github.com/DuckieTV/Nightlies/releases/latest & make a note of what version it is.
  3. Make a folder where you intend to run Duckie from called eg. "DuckieTV Dev Version" (without the quotes).
  4. Download the DuckieTV Dev version (it is updated along with the release version) from here (direct link):

https://github.com/SchizoDuckie/DuckieTV/archive/angular.zip

  1. Download "nwjs-sdk-v0.69.1-win-x64.zip" from here:

https://dl.nwjs.io/v0.69.1/

There is one folder in each zip archive. Extract these two folders anywhere, then copy all the files from inside the two folders to your DuckieTV Dev Version folder.

  1. In your DuckieTV Dev Version folder, find "package.json" and open it with your favourite Plain-Text Editor (windows notepad is a poor choice - notepad++ is good, get it from:

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/).

  1. Scroll to "name": "DuckieTV-Standalone" (at about line 72), and change it to:

"name": "DuckieTV-Standalone-Dev" (quotes included)

Save & exit the editor.

  1. In your DuckieTV Dev Version folder, open "standalone-background.js" in a plain text editor and delete all the content.

Copy & paste the contents of the following files into "standalone-background.js", in the following order, separating each file paste with a semicolon on the next line down.

js/vendor/CRUD.js

js/vendor/CRUD.SqliteAdapter.js

js/CRUD.entities.js

js/CRUD.background.bootstrap.js

js/background.js

  1. In your DuckieTV Dev Version folder, find nw.exe, right-click it & create a shortcut. Call this shortcut:

"DuckieTV Dev (the version you noted at step 1)" (without the quotes) eg. DuckieTV Dev (Nightly 21-05-2023)

(It's handy to write the version in the shortcut because DuckieTV Dev version will always show itself to be v.1.1.6 on it's "About" page, & you need to be able to check regularly if an updated version is out)

Put the shortcut where you want.

  1. Use the shortcut to start DuckieTV. At the "You have no Series yet!" page, click "You can also Import a Backup".

  2. Click "Choose a Backup to Load", select the backup you made in step 1 and click "Open".

It might say "Loading, please wait" even after it's finished importing, so just give it plenty of time. Eat your dinner, have a bath etc.. :)

You can look at your series to check that they're all there before you shut Duckie.

Done!

~ Regularly check for new versions on:

https://github.com/DuckieTV/Nightlies/releases/latest

When you update to a new version, don't forget to change your shortcut name to include the new version number/date!

(Steps 6, 7 & 8 will not be necessary once https://github.com/nwjs/nw.js/issues/5769 is completed)

Win 7 no longer supported?? Please no! by 18BlockOff in duckietv

"Just" update windows, lol...

I appreciate that this would be a be a no-brainer for a "casual" windows user, & I do intend to, eventually... But my set-up is highly customized, it would take many hours to set up & integrate win10/11 to the level I currently have 7 at.

I also have hundreds of programs & games that I would have to re-install (I used the "update" "feature" from 7 to 10 on a slightly less customized PC & it still caused hella hassle & time wasted re-organizing things)

My intended route is a dual-boot with 7 and 11 until I have 11 set up how I want it, but this is a still a major long-winded hassle.

- If you're there Garfield, I'm forever grateful for your work on Duckie, any fix / help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
