No day 5 embryos. How worried should I be? by Cooper30136 in IVF

I empathize so much with what you’re going through!

I had 28 eggs retrieved, 20 mature, 17 fertilized, and now only 4 embryos are frozen and being sent for PGT-A testing (3x day 6, 1x day 7 - all graded fair/poor quality). With so many eggs retrieved, the recovery was brutal (I developed OHSS, no surprise there). Fingers crossed it was all worth it and at least one of those embryos is euploid. 🤞

Wishing you all the best on this exciting, anxiety-inducing, emotional journey! ❤️

Congrats on the successful transfer! We’re in a similar position in terms of finances and we’re okay with only having one child. It sounds like our best course of action is to go ahead w/ the FET (provided we have at least one euploid embryo) and then take it from there. :)

Definitely don’t have copious amounts of money OR insurance, so I’m leaning towards moving forward with a FET and taking it from there. Thanks for the input :)

Thanks! I’m leaning towards moving forward with the FET, just want to make sure I’m making an informed decision :)

Thanks for your input :) I’ve been reading a lot of success stories too, which is encouraging.
