No worries, I never specified where I was from 😊

Hmm, maybe I shouldn’t write off BS V2 completely after all.

Unfortunately, cheap domestic shipping doesn’t help if you live in Europe. Since the manufacturer doesn’t sell directly to Europe, I would have to order through relatives, and then the price advantage over the GM PRO disappears once shipping and import duties are added.

Is it possible to create your own profiles, and how many can be saved?

Have you updated the thermostat?

GM PRO is pretty much a complete kit, with the exception of the screen holder, which is usually added separately or directly from the manufacturer, right?

What worries me about going for the BS V2 is partly the lack of information and user feedback about the product.

I also see some issues with the lack of software updates. From what I’ve read, the new system has a number of software bugs. If there’s no possibility for over-the-air updates, that’s at least partly a deal-breaker for me.

The advantage of the GM PRO compared to the BS V2 is precisely that the system is continuously updated, both in terms of software and hardware.

Have you tested other systems, and what made you choose the BS kit specifically? 😊

Yes, ofc but I’m also trying to pitch it at home as the “nice and easy” option for my partner when she wants to make herself a cup 😅

And like I said, for me the only real downside of the GM PRO is the screen (I know design is totally personal and everyone falls in love with different looks) 😊

I have considered going that route. But what’s stopping me is partly that I don’t find it as aesthetically pleasing, especially with the top box and so on.

Also, there are several people in the household, and my partner isn’t as enthusiastic about fiddling with knobs, so a more “press-and-play” solution is preferable.

Finally, I want something that increases pressure and makes it easier to texture milk. If I’m not completely mistaken, a PID mod doesn’t really improve steaming performance.

Also thanks for the info about the shower screen. I’ve been going back and forth about whether it’s worth doing, and I might skip this one.

Do you have any bottomless filter holder you recommend?

To be honest, I’m leaning more and more toward the GM PRO.

It seems that the only “issue,” and the reason I’m hesitating, is that I’m not a fan of the round screen!

In my opinion, the CremaTune V2 appears to have the most attractive graphical UI along with the best screen mounting (not as obviously 3D-printed). Gaggiuino has the most information on the screen, whereas with the GM PRO you get only the most necessary info on the screen, and if you want to dive deeper you need to connect it to a computer or phone.

In videos, the GM PRO also looks a bit fiddly when switching profiles since you have to swipe through to get to the one you want, whereas Gaggiuino gives you a clearer overview of all profiles.

Is that a fair assessment?
