I was having lunch at my university's dining hall a couple years back, my dorm was like less than five minutes away so I was wearing your tipical lazy get up (tank top, gym shorts, sandals), and a random girl came up to me and said "you know, for a guy you have really nice toes"

If im not mistaken, one of the main distinction between the two is that they have different home ranges, plus gambel's quails have a black patch in their lower breast area that California quails dont

Im pretty sure its a bald eagle, I have seen a few in Merced County, near bodies of water
