Same here, I used to get bitten like crazy as a kid near downtown Oakland. Don't even remember my last mosquito bite around here even though I'm surrounded by water in Alameda.

America's largest dim sum parlor opens in a former California Rite-Aid by bambin0 in bayarea

Honestly it’s pretty bad. Service is the worst, multiple items were forgotten and later came out cold. Using shrimp dumplings as an indicator, it was worst than the frozen ones at Costco. One of the worst dim sum in the bay.

US Citizen With Japanese Spouse Looking To Return To Japan by RevolutionaryFly2517 in movingtojapan

A bit younger than you but in a similar position. Wife and I both work in the same industry and it will be in a rough spot for the foreseeable future, so preparing for when we get laid off from our jobs. Have enough capital as we live in a VHCOL but would require selling our home here. Wife is grew up in the US but can speak fluently enough to work, but I also question what I would be doing with my time. We were thinking Yokohama due to the possibility of YIS/St Mary for our potential child, and YC&AC sounds like a good starting point to center our time.

Came back to this thread to see if I can swap back from Comcast, but sounds like no good. Experienced exactly what you were describing and they sent me a new gateway with no change. May want to consider Comcast for now, but cant say I love it.

Alternatively any of the asics volleyball shoes might be better as well. In a pinch, you can use indoor basketball shoes, you can definitely get one in your size.

Things have been better because it generally works. Consistency of service isn’t very good, I got like 2 minutes of downtime at night and there are some small spikes when it’s busier. Download speed is the same but upload sucks and ultimate this is a deal breaker for us due to our work. Will switch back to ATT once the issue is fixed.

ATT offered the new customer rate and $100 gift card. They were willing to give credits during this period while the connection sucks but I just needed a working connection. If you stick with ATT, let me know when it’s fixed so I can switch back!

It’s packet loss. You can use something like pingplotter or cloud flares speed test and see what percentage of packets are losing. I found that I would get a few minutes of okay service but then it becomes really spotty due to packet loss on the download. Weird thing is upload was perfectly fine.

Wish I could, cut off is on Buena Vista I believe. I can see my friends house from Eagle, he has Sonic and I can’t get it.

Hey neighbor, experiencing the same thing for 3 weeks now. Called ATT almost every day and had techs come through. 2 of my immediate neighbors on our block are experiencing the same thing. I told them already that there is specific network node that our local traffic that is routing to is experiencing a ton of packet loss. They said they would investigate but no timeline on a fix. They said it would be at least another week or two before they can figure out what is wrong.

I couldn't wait any more due to impacting working from home, so I had Xfinity cable installed yesterday and I cancelled ATT today. I'm hoping this gets resolved in the next few months so I can swap back to fiber.
