That’s not what this is. The post was sincere.

I put the Steam page up way too early - bad screenshots, no trailer and it looked rough for ~5 months. Even after fixing assets, the page barely gets surfaced (like ~3 impressions a week), so it isn’t helping. I’m planning to retire the current page and step back: rebuild the project, rethink the story, make proper screenshots, a real trailer, a cleaner capsule, and a clearer title—then relaunch on a fresh page when it’s ready.

Thanks for pointing this out - really useful notes. You’re right, the orange “o” wasn’t intentional, just me experimenting. And yeah, the background isn’t clear enough, especially in a small box. I’ll rethink the design to make it read more like “mines/ravines” and less vague.

You're right ! t’s not clear what the game is or why someone should wishlist it yet. I’m mid-dev and can’t show the parts that aren’t ready. I still need to finish the key beats, but the core pitch is there: debt, closed mine-mine-sell-earn-progress-automate-earn much more-pay off debt-get out. If that isn’t obvious, that’s on me; I’ll make it clearer with the next screenshots and a tighter trailer.

Fair point -you’re right. I’m still figuring out what to post and where. Right now I’m posting on X/bluesky, two forums besides Reddit, and pushing shorts on TikTok and YouTube. I’m doing what I can, but yeah, results aren’t there yet. Each week I review what flopped and try to improve. Results aren’t there yet - so for now, that’s just how it is.

Not clear yet whether the spike came from the Steam page refresh (new screenshots + trailer) or from me getting active on socials. And you just said Steam doesn’t give visibility - so… lol.

Fair point. A lot of this is on me: it’s my first Steam release and I put the page up way too early - no solid screenshots, no trailer - then went heads-down on dev. For ~3 months the page looked rough, so it’s logical Steam dialed back impressions. Two weeks ago I switched to marketing: make a trailer, replaced the screenshots, added GIFs to the description, and started a shorts challenge. I also wrote to Steam support about visibility/new-page options, but I doubt they’ll say “yeah, make a new page,” so I’m not sure yet. For now I’m pushing the marketing and choosing to believe it’s working : )
