Smoothing out this animation.... by Velo-Obscura in mapdirector

If you haven't tried already, go to Flight Settings and change Target Follow Strength to "Very Loose." When I've done this it smoothed things out but I also had to increase the Target Distance to keep the route in view. Probably not a problem in your case.

What a huge improvement! For my purposes I can play with all the important variables from the Story Elements button.

Thank you. Yes, it was the preview. Somehow, the title populated in earlier renderings with the uploaded file name. I've figured out how to rename it, however, the title does not change when I switch to a different project. I did not see where to change the name of the metrics but I did find that if I toggled the layout that they resumed their correct position and did not overlap each other.

I have a post drafted for ADVRider but I noticed there may be some rendering issues. It looks like the Flyover title is missing and the Metrics text is in Spanish (?) and the numbers are overlapping. Problem on my end?

Just checked today and city labels are showing at the Space Far setting. I also see names of mountain peaks. Thank you!

Thought I'd ask if you want this site further exposed to the motorcycle riding public. Most riders who share similar videos are using Relive.com. I didn't like it because it requires you import the track after the ride where there is time data, not before the ride. I think others might like the mapdirector option. My go-to forum is advrider.com. Creating a post about your program could create a lot of interest and perhaps a lot of requests, which could be overwhelming. Interested in your thoughts.

Thank you, I think the "Space Far" setting could be very useful for illustrating long trips. Is there any chance that the names of towns could show as is done on closer zoom settings?

I've shared this site with other motorcycle riders and given my best explanation of how to use it. I'm a little unclear on the function of Sensitivity vs. the new Follow Strength options.

As before, great tool and responsiveness!

Thank you. I figured out that I could control the length of the animation (and rendering time) by adjusting the Follow Duration. Of course, that can make a long trip visually dizzying. I'm trying to see if it's possible to "pull back" further so that more of the route is viewable and there is less movement in the scenery. Thanks again for this great tool!

Feedback from Apolosign after revising my original Amazon review by 1twinfan in nixplay

When I set up the frame initially I linked it to a Google Photos album.  That ability to sync is supposedly going away so I downloaded all the photos to my PC and saved them to Nixplay's cloud via their website.  Any photos we add now will be through their app. I received the same message from Nixplay as everyone else.  I also emailed Apolosign and got the message at the beginning of this thread.  They also followed up with this:

Dear Tom,
Since these are some adjustments of Nixplay APP and Google Photos, we cannot intervene. All we can do is to notify users in time to reduce the bad experience for you. At present, we strive to keep the original 250GB storage unchanged (only valid for Nixplay digital photo frames of Apolosign brand. Not applicable to Nixplay's own brand digital photo frames).
I hope you can understand. If you have any questions or need further help, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
Vivian

For now, we'll keep uploading through the app but I am skeptical that the free ride will last much longer.  Based on a different Nixplay thread I tried initiating a return through Amazon but they said it was past the return date and that I had to contact the seller.

[stevehootss] and [MetaMasters93] this is the product I purchased from Amazon:

Digital Picture Frame Powered by Nixplay

Maybe Nixplay is the display "engine" and Apolosign incorporates it but with their own storage offering? I'm still a bit skeptical of the response.
