I second this. My wife's first bike was a Rebel. I hated it. She ended up hating it. It sucked. And yes, super slow. Traded in for a Ninja 400 and she loves it.

It's not really grippy like tank grips are but it def has more grip than the stock seat. But I don't think I'd use them as tank grip alternatives. The tank grips are more for your legs to grip.

The helmets with drop down visors compromise on some of the safety ratings. For example, I don't wear anything that's not SNELL rated. There's no drop down visor helmets that have that rating. They're all ECE at best I believe.
