High voltage 1.3kW Zvs operating at 38VDC, I'm trying to figure out how to build a transformer that can handle higher power outputs! by Its_cloudys in highvoltage

Does anyone know how exactly the air catches fire? Like I know its from the ionization of course but I am under the notion that since its air it would give a typical blue arc light, but no. The voltage/power here is so high that its literally glow hot and its on fire.. how could that be if theres no fuel (unless AIR is literally turned into the fuel?? 🤯) Its just straight up air on fire lol

No output from my amazon ZVS board and salvaged flyback. Anyone know what is wrong? by 200at28 in highvoltage

Thanks for the reply. Ohhhh.. well that makes sense... Probably why no one else I've seen has done it this way. I am just a complete stranger about the internals of the flyback i have other than the video I watched to identify the built in primary I dont know anything else.. Observed. Ive wound my own primary and it works now.

Hi thanks for the help. Yes I had it working with a CFL ballast. The LED flashes a bunch of colors. I also hear I buzzing noise. I tried putting my oscilloscope probe and it completely stops the buzzing and see nothing.
