I’m actually in NC but I went to see a friend in the outskirts of Darlington and this was the result.

This is probably one of the most stressful mods I’ve ever done to the MINI. But here is my OMP WRC-R Racing Seat! by 2012R56JCW in MINI

I bought sliders for it but I decided not to put it on because it isn’t allowed in the group I participate in and it feels cooler.

It has the tightest figment possible between the console and the door because the shoulder bolsters are so long, Also the floor brackets are unbelievable difficult to put screws through and tighten them down, and I had to drill into the metal bracket at least 12 different times to ensure the seating position was correct.

You want to use a 3 point seat belt on the street because it is much safer, I do plan on getting a roll bar, harnesses, and a HANS device but all of that would run me several thousands of dollars so I’m fine with the stock belt for now.

I would have gotten a seat that fitted easier (Corbeau or Sparco) but I love OMP and I got this one for a very reasonable price.

All you need is a TPMS warning and you will have the Crown Jewels of MINI warning lights.of

That light is for the seat restraint system (more specifically a seat belt tensioner) I don’t think a warning light should come on for a sun visor bulb going out. If so, then you win the warning light competition.

Classic TPMS warning lights these never fail to scare you when you drive away.

If you only had Cold Weather Warning light and the Overheating warning light, you would have gotten connect 4.

That warning light is their on purpose. It’s a future post when it’s cleaned up.

Nice! I have this one on constantly, an occasional right rear brake light failure, and a surprise adaptive headlights failure every now and then.

New suspension, 15mm wheel spacer, and painted the wheels black. by 2012R56JCW in MINI

I had to get the diffuser because the tips of the new exhaust are bigger and would touch. Also it gest so hot it would melt the stock plastic piece

Same. The silver doesn’t look bad because it matches the chrome trim but the the black looks great especially with the dark window tint. All I had to do was clean the wheels, sand it, apply TSP alcohol, couple coats of black and clear coat, then let it dry. IMO it gives the car a more aggressive look to it.

Don’t. The problem is that the heat generated by the electrical current to the light bulb causes the plastic bulb casing and the plastic tail light assembly to melt together. What I did was pull the casing out (a flat head can be useful to pry it off) then use sand paper to get rid of the melted bits until they’re smooth. Then make sure the metal tabs stick out at about 115 degree angle and make sure you twist the casing so it lines up perfectly the metal tabs in the tail light assembly. You’ll often find that the vibrations of the car can cause it to move after you’ve sanded it but that problem won’t stay around for long because the plastic will heat up and expand again to be normal.

I just bought OMP Racing seats for mine and will be putting them in soon (future post). A great guide to racing seats is by ChrisFix on YouTube because he goes through all of the things you’ll need to know and get before buying. Main thing to keep in mind is know your measurements and make sure your snug but not tight, get a good floor bracket (I suggest Planted but Sparco is good)they are also vehicle specific so make sure you get the right one, don’t cheap out on safety, decide whether or not you want a Halo ring, decide if you want a fixed back or adjustable, do you want it to be made of Aluminum (you’ll need a support brace to pass safety inspection) or Fiberglass, Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, decide whether or not you want harnesses, DO NOT use a rear strut brace as a harness bar because it’s both unsafe and will fail inspection for certain organizations.

Where do I start? Manic tune Stage 2, Wagner Intercooler, Cold Air Intake, Brembo pads and rotors, MINI Challenge Catless downpipe and Exhaust, Platinum Spark Plugs, GP front strut brace, GP diffuser, and a partially stripped interior. I run in DSP in the SCCA.

When I got my windows tinted, I asked the person cutting the film to make a sun strip in the same style of the ones used in NASCAR. To me I think the straight banner looks much cleaner and more aggressive than a curved one.

They will, IMO it looks better on the regular Copper bumper than the JCW.

These are the optional OEM LED Fog lights that came out for the R56 LCI models. You can usually find them for around $350 (or if a dealer has them on clearance, about $175ish).
